Re: Optimal mouse DPI setting for 120 hz display 1080p
FWIW I recommend 1000Hz logitech and 1000Hz razer mice in general. I have the G500S and the blackadder mouse. I prefer the logitech myself just from the fact that it feels more solid and has weight adjustments if I want them (though I just leave them out). The Razer is a good mouse if you get used t...

Re: Question about Strobe and G-Sync
In general double-imaging is bad. It doesn't matter if you're running your game at 60hz and your display at 120hz or if it's 30hz in software and 60 hz on the display. The effect is visually the same and you see two images on the back of your retina alternating positions every other frame as you eye...

Well, I apologize if I ruffled anyone's feathers. I do that sometimes without even trying. Everything is good, and yes we are making progress.

Re: LightBoost Sequel: ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur)
Hey don't forget Sony's MotionFlow impulse, Chief! I just got my Sony MFI working on my KDL-47W802A for the first time today too. So today was my first time seeing an LCD do no motion artifact movements as well. And I knew it could be done before I saw it obviously. But it's still quite the moment s...

Re: Need for Speed: Rivals capped @30fps on pc
If they weren't there would be zero market for G-Sync. The issue was first addressed by free-running (not sync'ing to the verical refresh) then later by what NVidia calls adaptive V-sync, and now with G-Sync. ... But the 30/60 jarring effect only happens when you sync to vertical refresh. The way i...

No worries. Sorry if I came across in any sort of a negative way. I can be stupid just like anybody else!

Re: King Arthur II's developer believes 24fps is fluid enoug
Film makers also believe 24 FPS is fluid enough Let's not devolve the level of discussion. There are other places to talk about (or argue about) whether the human eye can distinguish the difference between anything faster than X frames per second. Here's just one such place for anyone wanting to ca...

Re: Need for Speed: Rivals capped @30fps on pc
Are jarring 30<->60 fps transitions really still an issue? The last game I played that I can remember not supporting triple buffering was FEAR back in 2005 and I play a LOT of games. There are probably a few others that aren't graphically intensive enough to ever drop below 60 fps even on moderate ...
