Re: Looking for the best Competitive Gaming Monitor

As a guy that wrote a book on competitive gaming (Quake and Counterstrike), I can certainly appreciate how important having the best hardware is. In addition, I've been playing DOTA, WC3 and Starcraft 2 at masters level. The Chief already gave you all the info you need... and BenQ XL2420Z / Eizo FGG...

Re: EXCLUSIVE: We measure G-SYNC Input Lag in GSYNC Preview

Great review! I really learned a lot of love the tests you've done for input lag!

Now for a Lightboost at 144hz vs ULMB at 120hz comparison ;)

Re: Gaming Monitor Advice

I'm looking forward to the BenQ XL2420G and the Asus ROG Swift PG278Q!!

I want a 24" but it's tempting to get a beautiful 2560 resolution! Hopefully we'll get some good information about the monitors before they come out!

Re: Samsung Series 9 S27A950D "Frame Sequencing"

Wow that was quite a detailed explanation. (And yes, I definitely did follow your guide!) I believe it most likely due to additional input lag (20ms is huge, no?) because I did set it to "normal" and do have the viewing distance at a close-to-equivalent-distance to the 24" monitor. If we combine a s...

Samsung Series 9 S27A950D "Frame Sequencing"

I really like my Samsung S27A950D for a lot of things. It was one of the first 27" 120hz LCDs, it has a nice design but in terms of performance it doesn't hold up well when using the frame sequencing (apparently the equivalent of lightboost for the samsung screen) It actually hurts the eyes to use i...

Re: DIY 240Hz Non-interpolated zero-buffer display.

Pretty crazy... and congrats, this is way out of my league (I have no idea how you would create that board) Random questions flying through my mind: - That monitor has a baseline of 2m response time (compared to others that have 1, etc)... would it be better to mod another monitor? Does lag improve ...
