Re: Samsung CHG90 vs. CRG9
I've had both for a week and to me CRG9 even without BFI looked faster than CRG9 with BFI. Much more relaxing for the eyes too. I've also had LG 27GL850 for a week and it looked as fast as CRG9, but had much lower contrast ratio and brightness. If LG 38GL950G would be the same LG 27GL850, it would b...

Re: First 1440p 240hz monitor! Lenovo Y27gq
I've actually had the Acer Nitro XV273KP, tons of IPS glow and BLB. The IPS glow is so bad it drastically reduces the perceived contrast ratio in normal viewing conditions. That high refresh 4K/27" IPS panel is only good with a FALD behind it. Rtings had put up their review of HP OMEN X 27, but it ...

Re: Have I always made a mistake?
No, you don't need to activate V-Sync anywhere to enable G-Sync. You can try G-Sync Pendulum app that allows you to better see the difference. https://www.nvidia.com/coolstuff/demos#!/g-sync

Re: First 1440p 240hz monitor! Lenovo Y27gq
Honestly, out of all the monitors I've tested (including 144 Hz 4K IPS) Lenovo Y27gq-25 showed the best picture quality! It shows as little motion blur as 1080p 0.5 ms screens (without ULMB). The most pleasant monitor to game on! According to you this is also the best monitor. XN253Q Pbmiprzx. No o...

Re: First 1440p 240hz monitor! Lenovo Y27gq
So, to make a long answer short, I think that I do feel less input lag in 240hz Quake Live compared to 120hz Rainbow Six: Siege, but the difference is so minor, that I am not sure I could distinguish it reliably in a "blind" (:D) test. Actually that what I felt with that monitor too. There was a di...

Re: First 1440p 240hz monitor! Lenovo Y27gq
Methanhydrat , that's a great review! Thank you very much for that. Lenovo Y27gq-25 is amazing monitor indeed! It doesn't come close to long awaited heavily advertised "1ms" LG 27GL850 in terms of picture quality and motion handling. I'm going to try out Lenovo Y27gq-20 next week. I really miss OSD...

I'm wondering the same thing myself. We could really use an answer to that.

Re: First 1440p 240hz monitor! Lenovo Y27gq
I can't hear the fan when my mITX desktop is turned on, the monitor is less noisy than my Corsair H100i v2. However, when I turn off my desktop, the fan is still running and that is very annoying. I read on LTT forum that some guy was able to remove that behavior by turning on Deep Sleep mode in OSD...

Re: Found the best gaming monitor by accident
There are many aspects to "blur reduction" in some XL2456 wins, in others wins XN253Q Pbmiprzx. I'm selling my XL2456 and keeping XN253Q Pbmiprzx. Yes, I've tried XL2456 in 144 Hz and to me the motion on it looks and feels worse. There is no general consensus. Read this: https://forums.blurbusters.c...
