Is a G-Sync monitor what I need for the following symptoms
I've upgraded my computer and have been messing around with settings in Overwatch. Here's what I've found: With old computer, I used to use: Lightboost 10% @ 120Hz, Vsync OFF, FPS uncapped Then I realized this was giving me a "blurry" picture that was actually negatively affecting my aim. So I went ...

Re: Asus PG258Q - Can it do 180Hz ULMB
Which monitors can do that?Chief Blur Buster wrote:Part of the reason is NVIDIA probably thought 180Hz would have too much strobe crosstalk -- they prefer to release pre-calibrated Blur Reduction modes that look good.
The highest Hz as of May 2017 for any monitor for ULMB is 144Hz.

Do any monitors have Lightboost/ULMB at refresh rates > 120?
And do all the newer implementations (ULMB, etc) have a brighter picture than the old Lightboost method? I have an Acer GN246HL and my two major complaints are the darkness and being limited to 120Hz. My mouse feels different. I don't know if it's the slower refresh rate or perhaps input lag from Li...

Re: Overwatch -- Lightboost 120Hz + Fast Sync
Previously I had 144Hz/154fps (in-game limiter) and it felt good. I'm experimenting with keeping 120Hz Lightboost on and keeping FPS uncapped since my computer will fluctuate in FPS from high 100s to low 200s. I've read on here that Lightboost mode definitely increases input lag by ~4ms (can someone...

Re: Creators Update Game Mode reduces input lag
He says that component changes may have been responsible for the reduced input lag? Did he ever run this test again with the new computer? I've read on reddit/r/overwatch that you should disable Game Mode, run Overwatch in Windows 7 compatibility mode, and check 'Disable Full Screen optimizations'. ...

Re: Acer GN 246 Lightboost hack support?
I have a GN246HL, I installed strobelight beta 4 (ran the setup exe), enabled a 120Hz strobed mode. And when I go into that strobed mode (and light turns green instead of blue), I can alter the Nvidia setting from monitor's on-screen menu and raise or lower the brightness under the Nvidia 3D Lightbo...

Re: Need some advice on what I should do
Is the Blur Reduction on the BenQ XL2411 basically ULMB under another name or is it more optimized? (i.e, brighter, less ghosting/blurriness in middle of screen, less input lag)

Re: Need some advice on what I should do
Even with it at 120Hz/Strobelight, 120fps in-game cap, and V-Sync ON, and ignoring the mouse lag, it still looks blurry. It only seems to clear up once I put fps at 129 and turn off V-Sync. But then mouse feels less responsive than 154/144, so... Does the game have GPU motion blur? Have you tried t...

Re: Need some advice on what I should do
That doesn't seem to work on my monitor. It won't go over 120.0008Hz no matter what I set in CRU (I tried 120.009 all the way to 120.25). Monitor menus and Windows rounds off the refresh rate. However, if you go to http://www.vsynctester.com, you can measure your refresh rate more accurately -- to ...
