Re: Is my LG 27GL83A-B broken or is it just me ?
Wait, one more thing haha. Why not JUST turn on GSYNC and cap -3fps from total refresh rate ? Why does vsync need to be turned on with above combination ? Did you read the quote from my article in this comment? https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=9157&p=72254#p72222 The V-SYNC "optio...

Re: Is my LG 27GL83A-B broken or is it just me ?
So basically when people (me) buy the 240Hz monitor, they aren’t ONLY buying the fact that it can refresh faster, it’s so that the range of gsync/freesync is greater vs for example a 144Hz monitor. Correct. So do people just have to deal with tearing if their frames go beyond 144Fps if it’s uncappe...

Re: Is my LG 27GL83A-B broken or is it just me ?
I have an LG 27GL83A-B 144hz with GSYNC on and VSYNC off. Everything else is default. Game runs smooth but once the frames per second are around 135-180 the is noticeable tearing. Your LG isn't broken, as 1) a 144Hz G-SYNC display (with LFC support) has an effective 0 to 144 FPS VRR range, so as yo...

Re: LDAT Tested: Reflex Auto FPS Limiter Input Lag vs. In-game & External FPS Limiters
How come this doesn't have any reply so far?! 🤔 I'm not expecting any immediate traffic. This thread was more intended for reference/linking when I see future visitors asking about this on the forums and in the G-SYNC 101 comments section ;) although i'm sure the outcome will be identical :) That's...

Re: Backlightbleed or IPS Glow
Hey guys i bought a vg259qm and im curious if this is backlight bleed or ips glow? And when it is ips glow is this nromal one or should i return it? https://imgur.com/a/SJcRGSF That looks like IPS glow to me. To confirm, take another photo a few feet away from the monitor; if that pattern mostly or...

LDAT Tested: Reflex Auto FPS Limiter Input Lag vs. In-game & External FPS Limiters
I've been getting multiple visitors in the G-SYNC 101 comments section asking whether the Reflex auto FPS limit has the same input lag as the in-game limiter due to the fact that it's also implemented by the devs at the engine level, so I managed to squeeze in some casual LDAT testing over the weeke...

Re: Trying to understand gsync and fps with vsync - Apex legends specifically
Fast Sync as well :P As stupidly "redundant" as it is, G-Sync + Fastsync + Reflex allows you to utilize any framerate limit you'd want, without tearing within range and avoiding normal V-Sync behavior outside of range (due to fastsync) Ah, I did not even think to try that this time, as I don't gene...

Re: Couple of G-sync (and V-Sync) questions
My main question is if I am getting over 100 FPS at least on the games I am playing, would a 60Hz g-sync monitor be utilising the g-sync all the time and technically capping my FPS to 60? No, G-SYNC only functions when the framerate is within the currently set max refresh rate of the monitor, so on...

Re: Trying to understand gsync and fps with vsync - Apex legends specifically
I've come down to setting Apex as such. Gsync on, nvcp v sync on. Now after this, if I set the fps limit in game to 141, 142, 143 via a command line in launch options, the fps seems to be stuck at 138, and even if i set the fps limit in nvcp to 141,142,143 whatever. It's still stuck around 138. I m...

Re: Trying to understand gsync and fps with vsync - Apex legends specifically
So in this case, is it better to switch of latency mode and cap at 141. Or keep latency at ultra and let it cap itself at 138? If your system can maintain your framerate at the set limit 99% of the time, it's better to disable LLM and Reflex, and use an in-game limiter with G-SYNC, at least where l...
