Re: Asus XG279Q with ELMB-Sync
I am fond of saturation as well but like to control how much I have depending on the game. Some games look good with a high amount and some look good with a low amount the default mode just doesn't allow you to change it at all for some reason so changing to User mode, which is still the same wide g...

Re: >>> VOTE!!!! Ideas To Help Blur Busters!
I'd love to use your link to buy the viewsonic to try out but I'm already stuck with this asus one because corona hit right after I purchased it and everything else was completely out of stock. I couldn't even return it because there was nothing else to buy haha. I am kinda thinking I will buy the n...

Re: Asus XG279Q with ELMB-Sync
Hi all, New to the forum and thought it would be good to get some advice on this monitor which has just arrived today. My first IPS monitor and wow the colours look amazing, I've just come from a TN DELL SG27DG Gsync monitor and the first thing I noticed was the colours. I have a few questions I wa...

Re: Asus XG279Q with ELMB-Sync
Moderation Note to Dmoney405 While I agree RLSContender has often been polarizing, that phrase is beyond our Be Nice To Users rule. My reread suggests it is a "seeing overdrive in a test" versus "not noticing overdrive in a real-world game" as a disreprecancy-explainer. But I have to remind that ev...

Re: Asus XG279Q with ELMB-Sync
Weird, i own the XG279q and i have zero issues when ELMB-Sync is on. When i use the UFO tests, i dont' really see much of a difference in zones particularly at the overclocked refersh rates. Really? Because that means your monitor is better than any other ever created and should be sampled at a lab...

Re: Asus Rog Strix XG279Q review. The fastest 1440p IPS monitor*
do a UFO ghost ing test and leave it on for 15 mins, then exit the screen(make sure your background is black you will see image retention. I did and I don't have any. I also did this test multiple times. https://marco.org/rmbp-irtest.html and didn't have any. I also do not use a screensaver and hav...

Re: >>> VOTE!!!! Ideas To Help Blur Busters!
Do you have analytics on mobile vs desktop users with addblock? Since Ublock isn't available on safari, chrome, or edge mobile versions I would expect most mobile visitors do not have addblock and most desktop users do. This is the reason I use Firefox as my phones browser. I just can't stand closin...

Re: >>> VOTE!!!! Want Ads? Want Patreon? To Help Blur Busters!
Rising tides lifts all boats. The advocacy that Blur Busters does, improves technology products for all reviewers. This helps all users, as I am an inventor of multiple display tests that help reviewers. And monitor manufacturers take heed with some of what Blur Busters does, too! Yeah I get it, I ...

Re: Asus Rog Strix XG279Q review. The fastest 1440p IPS monitor*
I have the same screen and am probably the first one here to leave a mini review for it. I have now seen from a few sources about image retention on this screen, but mine has none at all. There must have been two batches or maybe two assembly lines and one of them did something very wrong. Still to ...
