Re: About a XL2720Z Review

that's a pretty dumb error coming from BenQ, hope to have a later added feature ! upon translating your posts, i was wondering if the "blurtrail" test works well with Windows 8/8.1, since it hasn't Aero on it. I'm pending on that to fully translate the post i added a remark about you and your work o...

Re: About a XL2720Z Review

obviously one thing is wrong, either the strobe length or the luminance display 2 times brighter than 50cd/m² is 2²*50cd/m² = 4*50cd/m² (since of the square and not linear luminance, it is squared proportional), that's how maths and physics work !!! if we apply this on the lightboost thing, then the...

Re: About a XL2720Z Review

i can't believe you made that mistake coming for you
60cd/m² isnt an half bright than 120cd/m²
i know you did it on purpose, just to make my current post be!

Re: any chances to get crt motion quality at 60hz in the fut

phosphor on TV's CRT have more persistence than monitor CRT, so that's why flicker is more percievable on a monitor CRT
so if would be a 60hz strobing mode for an LCD just use a longer strobing flash, the motion clarity won't variate dramatically

Re: About a XL2720Z Review

i see, if one choose in the new firmware 1ms strobing length, luminance would be 125/4 cd/m² = 31.25 cd/m² ( according to the review ) that's really low, what are the main cause of brigthness limit (i heard about liquid cristal + color filter light filtering) ? is that actual edge-lit LED actually r...

Hello everyone ! There is a french XL2720Z review here : http://www.lesnumeriques.com/moniteur-ecran-lcd/benq-xl2720z-p17980/test.html, it claims the motion blur technology is based upon a scanning method, is that right ? i thought it were a strobing one i also got another question about PWM, why it...

Re: Challenges in building a 10 bit display (or higher)

That said, I believe TN quality can still improve with more bits, if the driving accuracy is available (which would increase cost, as TN is often the cheapest panel technology available, so traditionally one don't really want to spend funds pimping-out a Yugo with fancy addons, versus pimping-out a...
