Re: Intel 9900K
i5 8600k @ 4,9ghz with a 40€ Air Cooler = best budget solution for 240hz gaming i7 9700k @ 4,8ghz = A bit overkill as no game uses 8 cores, but less CPU utilization. 9900k is overpriced and can give you less performance than 9700k because of the Hyper Threading. Something that happens, for example,...

Re: Should i go with 144hz or 240 ? G-sync or not ?
An interesting twist just happened today.... The XG248Q is now one of the "G-SYNC Compatible" monitors at http://www.blurbusters.com/gsync-loves-freesync Yes! And I got mine 3 weeks ago for 339€ wich was a big deal! Now I have VRR too as I have a nvidia GPU. Altho I don´t think VRR would benefit on...

Re: PCGamer: Nvidia brings G-Sync support to FreeSync monito
Considering the news we had today, about Gsync/FreeSync available for most monitores with Nvidia GPUs, I start to find less and less reasons to buy 240hz. To me one of the biggest 240hz advantages was the fact I could run a game with an unlocked framerate, without VRR or Vsync. As the monitor has a ...

Re: Should i go with 144hz or 240 ? G-sync or not ?
Thanks for all the info! I highly value your opinion since I read you also play fast paced games like quake. Do you think the 24 inch viewsonic will be a noticeable upgrade to my older benq 144hz? I found no review on input lag on my old monitor, so I cant compare them. No problem! If you already h...

Re: Should i go with 144hz or 240 ? G-sync or not ?
Hi there, you almost got me sold on the ViewSonic monitor, as I am looking for a faster panel. Do you think the panel on the 27 inch version is as good? I am looking for a monitor to replace my BenQ XL2411Z (panel:AUO M240HW01V8 firmware:v004-20141205) It should be very fast and sharp. Would the Vi...

Re: Optimal Screen Size for FPS Gaming [Scientific Research?
Fair enough, all I wanted to say is that, unless some Quake players database shows most use bigger screens, no game is going to convince me that a bigger screen improves aim. Quake is my benchmark, and the other games mean less to nothing to me. At least not overwatch as I consider that game really ...

Re: Should i go with 144hz or 240 ? G-sync or not ?
I have no idea but lets make this clear. I ALWAYS noticed how more responsive 240hz is compared to 144hz. The thing is that this viewsonic xg2402 is so damn fast that I cant notice anything. Rtings also said is the lowest input lag they ever tested. Even at 60hz with 8,8ms (leo bodnar), wich is craz...
