Re: PSA: GSYNC/VRR ON C9 OLED IS AFFECTING PICTURE QUALITY
OLED BFI doesn't wash out colors -- but it does reduce brightness. But if you were decreasing brightness to begin with in non-BFI, you may get (sometimes) indistinguishable image quality. I don't mean that BFI will wash out colors, my theory was that calibrating your screen while BFI is enabled may...

Re: PSA: GSYNC/VRR ON C9 OLED IS AFFECTING PICTURE QUALITY
Swap from your usual mode to game mode without enabling VRR and see if if it does the same thing. I did. Everything in my original post was tested in game mode, regardless of whether vrr is enabled or not. So everything is the same, except vrr on/off. Okay, what about Truemotion and OLED motion? Th...

Re: elmb and ulmb? Diffrence?
Using lower refresh rates is actually worse, as there's major ghosting due to the Overdrive setting being locked. This is definitely an issue and is also happening to my unit, but it isn't the only reason the image gets worse with lower fps. Some units have been tested and shown to have multistrobi...

Re: PSA: GSYNC/VRR ON C9 OLED IS AFFECTING PICTURE QUALITY
That's cool to know. I was thinking seriously of getting the c10s when they come out this year. I wonder if they will have the issue as well. I'm curious if it lessens or worsens with refresh rate indicating some kind of white frame insertion, which I would have no clue why they would want that. Ano...

Re: Is ELMB-Sync Really That Bad? [Reviewer Consistency? / Model Differences?]
BTW it's sad that this one has such amount of input lag compared to VG27AQ according to Prad. It having a worse implementation of ELMB-Sync on top of the bad input lag while being more expensive would make it a bad choice to buy. If you are trying to somehow take a shot at me by saying that the xg2...

Permaximum continuing to ramble on and using screenshots with no data behind them Listen dude we were already warned about making this personal, continuing to do so is childish. Again stop putting words into Mark's mouth. He said that the ELMB representation that is shown by them seems to be what h...

Re: Is ELMB-Sync Really That Bad? [Reviewer Consistency? / Model Differences?]
Also I thought of a potential good idea to help streamline these tests. First off we can already instantly tell they were testing crosstalk with the ghosting lanes instead of the actual crosstalk test which is incredibly biased by only showcasing the best case scenario (middle of screen). We know th...

Easy! Both sides are getting a bit hot on this. Both of you, both sides, please re-read the forum rules on the " Be Nice To New Users " rule, even to users you disagree with or to users who are wrong. I'm not going to close this otherwise useful thread. But I'm going to change the subject. This thr...

I don't know if they're paid or not. Honestly, I don't care. You do know because I spoon fed the evidence at your feet, denying it any further is just you intentionally being obtuse about the matter. Knowing that a reviewer is being paid is an extremely important tool you need to take advantage of ...
