Re: If I want to play FPS competitively, how should I be set up?

Capped with the normal gsync settings. Consistency is king and will be more beneficial than the negligible input lag reduction of completely uncapped and unsynced.

Re: Desk Setup Thread! [POST YOUR PICS]

I use an LGCX 48" oled now. 4k@120hz with gsync is amazing. IMG_20201122_142742.jpg I played some Battlefront 2 last night as a sniper and the extra resolution makes it a lot easier to get extremely long range snipes. Do you use motion-pro/BFI mode with it? Nope, just gsync. I would love to be able...

Re: Do you have a Virtual Reality Headset? (Oculus, Rift, Valve Index, Quest, HTC, Pimax, Reverb)

1) Quest 2 I tried other headsets before, but this was the first one high enough resolution not to bother me. 2) Echo Arena and Hyper Dash I really like competitive multiplayer games. I like how Echo Arena really takes advantage of VR and lets you play a game you can't do in real life and just would...

Re: SCREEN TEARING ON 360HZ GSYNC MONITOR (Overwatch)

Unless you turn on vsync once you go over 360 fps you'll get tearing. Cap it at 355 and you'll be fine.

Re: Help Requested: Can't choose 3840 x 2160 at 120hz

In nvidia control panel it defaults to "tv", scroll down further on the drop down and select the "pc" version of the resolution and then you can select 120hz.

Maybe it's the same for AMD.

Re: Desk Setup Thread! [POST YOUR PICS]

Nope, it just feels more immersive. Games with higher fov work the best. The immersion actually makes it easier to focus and aim better, and the extra detail 4k resolution provides helps a lot too. It's kind of like having the extra accuracy of being scoped in on a target but without losing your per...

Setting sensitivity to 1 seems like it helps with the diagonal issue. It still feels weird though.

Re: Shroud received his 1440p 240hz display

I think there is a definite advantage to 1440 over 1080 depending on the game and your visual acuity. My play style is typically long range sniping and I found the upgrade very beneficial. Targets that are so far away they barely take up any pixels on a 1080p display are a lot easier to see on a 144...

Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.

Yeah a button on the mouse to switch DPI is very nice for that. When I tested Valorant there was something wrong with the game at the very lowest sensitivity and it won't accurately pick up mouse movement. I can't remember the cutoff where it works accurately, but it still let's you get very low to ...
