Re: Help with new XB270HU
Did you overclock the monitor to achieve 165Hz? I wasn't aware the XB270HU was capable of 165Hz.

Re: Is 1000Hz+ interpolation of 200Hz native content enough?
He means the panels themselves. If a pixel cannot be updated that many times per second, higher refresh will give you washed-out colors and blur. LCDs need time to change state. This is already happening with 144Hz monitors. If you actually measure color reproduction, the colors at 144Hz are worse ...

Is 1000Hz+ interpolation of 200Hz native content enough?
Is 1000Hz+ interpolation of 200Hz native content a realistic and practical way to eliminate the stroboscopic effect (as well as persistence problems)? I figure any artifacts created by interpolation will be largely unnoticeable at 200Hz, and that persistence of vision solutions (such as backlight st...

Be prepared to dig deep though, they're not cheap.

Re: Frame skipping test result
Ok? Is there a problem/question?
You'll need to adjust for a longer exposure if you want to get better test shots. Currently, you're only capturing 1/2 frames, not enough to tell if any are being skipped.

Re: Purchase Advice
I would also go with the Asus. Very good quality, highly trusted brand. I had a bad experience with BenQ (Terrible cross-talk overdrive/corona with blur reduction on). Blur reduction/lightboost will tend to reduce contrast ratio and overall brightness. Cross-talk can also be an issue. Here's a quote...

Re: Should I buy Benq 2411Z or Asus vg248QE?
I tried the BenQ monitor, and eventually returned it. The crosstalk and overpowered overdrive made blur reduction mode really distracting for me, especially in the normal desktop environment and 2-D games. Although I hear it has better colors, and theoretically has better blur reduction (up to 144hz...

Re: BenQ XL2411 major crosstalk and ghosting/corona
Nope, vertical tweak was working. Still worse than I'd like, and terrible for portrait mode.
Theoretically I suspect it'd be worse on the new ACER predator or ASUS Swift, right? Or does ULMB do a much better job, even with slower pixel response times?

Re: BenQ XL2411 major crosstalk and ghosting/corona
Make sure that you are using the AMD/Nvidia ToastyX Pixel clock patcher before applying VT tweaks otherwise they get ignored/discarded. if the OSD System->information reports 1920x1080@60hz then your VT worked. If the OSD reports 100hz or 120hz then it didn't apply. Good information to know! Thanks...

Re: BenQ XL2411 major crosstalk and ghosting/corona
3 frames is about right. Main image, primary trail and secondary trail. I wasn't even counting the main image, believe it or not. It's really bad. I'll take some pictures when I get home. I don't have a pursuit setup, but I'll pick out the most representative. I also have only about half of the scr...
