Re: Analog output has Higher latency on modern Graphics card

thanks people for the clarification, advices, etc, my main purpose on this was to try to contribute on A solid lad user query on a GTX 980 TI analog port performance, so in some ways try to testify if its true that its analog ports had higher notable latency than its digital ones due to supposed man...

Re: Analog output has Higher latency on modern Graphics card

A Solid lad yes, a CRT is more complex to setup and requieres patience, also the warm up, not for everyone, but once its properly setup, results are fantastic, and geometry and sharpness can get very close to an LCD, i personally find CRT shapness a bonus since on LCD text and edges look more pixel...

Re: Analog output has Higher latency on modern Graphics card

Thanks for all the answers guys! I'm so glad I finally have a place where I can ask questions like these and not get replies like "just learn to play" or "x amount of lag is insignificant, you shouldn't be worried about it" or "why are you aking this? you shouldn't even be using a CRT these days......

Re: Low refresh rate Single Strobing (60hz+) interest

hi MICk42, many thanks for sharing your experiencie with 60hz strobing on your TN display. now it seems clear that all current strobing monitor have worse strobing flicker than CRTs, but TN seems the best ones in that regard, according to your, others and the following testimony where an IPS monitor...

Re: Low refresh rate Single Strobing (60hz+) interest

interesting videos, thanks for sharing, the crt slow motion one seems to have softer transition indeed. but well....chef blur busters states in his 60 Hz ULMB Hack HOWTO https://www.blurbusters.com/60hz-ulmb-hack-howto that 60 Hz ULMB (strobed) will flicker like a 60 Hz CRT, and you state that 60hz ...

Re: Low refresh rate Single Strobing (60hz+) interest

One thing to note is that 60Hz strobing on an LCD has much more apparent flicker than 60Hz on a CRT. "Apparent" means that it feels worse, even though it's the same frequency (60Hz.) CRT flicker feels "soft" in comparison and not as offensive to the eyes. 85Hz strobing on an LCD feels about the sam...

Re: ULMB 60Hz Guide

:) thanks for sharing this guide and thanks for your other replies on my queries on other topics. since the 60hz usage think is quite controversial, its always good to have the 60hz option so the interested user can judge and approve its usage by himself. i really hope this trick works on all and fu...

Re: Low refresh rate Single Strobing (60hz+) interest

i dont think it should be technically or economically difficult for the manufaturers to allow 60hz single strobe, they may just hide it if they dont want everyone to use it, but please dont disallow it at all..
hoping manufacturers serioulsy consider this.

Re: Big rant about LCD's & 120Hz BS

For 60Hz, the biggest problem is manufacturers have artificially disallowed low flicker rates on strobed LCDs. (flicker discomfort, epilepsy liability concerns, user complaints, etc). please dont take my comments in a bad personal manner and i dont mean being like self satisfying person or somethin...

Re: Low refresh rate Single Strobing (60hz+) interest

of course i would love to have more choices for current monitors to be able to use 60hz like a crt, personaly i dont have issues with it, use it for many things i do on my fw900 crt (desktop usage. emulators, 60fps limited games or heavy games my system cannot handle beyond 60fps) and when i enjoy p...
