Re: Display Port v1.2 (Maximum Pixel Clock Rate)?

It's weird as I only see V2 from 2013 being available at Benq's website, unless the V3 and V4 are hidden betas (-_-) http://gaming.benq.com/downloads Anyway, even if I get to find it, is there a way that a "normal user" can update the firmware without sending it to BenQ or buying 100$ hardware to us...

Re: Display Port v1.2 (Maximum Pixel Clock Rate)?

I am using the V2 as I've been shipped a wrong V1 when I first bought the monitor, then BenQ sent me a new unit with V2 as it appears it was too complicated for them to just let me drive 30 minutes to their office in Montreal to have it updated. I did not know there was a V3 and even a V4 available ...

Re: Display Port v1.2 (Maximum Pixel Clock Rate)?

Generally due to the scaler you cannot overclock DP inputs on the monitor side, only via adapters from DP on your PC to DVI on the monitor side. So there is no point in pursuing that avenue. On your first issue.. prolly easiest to just get a proper DVI cable again? So pretty much it doesn't matter ...

Display Port v1.2 (Maximum Pixel Clock Rate)?

Hi! To make it short, I had a DVI-D cable and was able on my (BenQ XL2420Z) to go up to 374Mhz without problem once I'd use the (AMD Pixel Clock Patch v1.3.3) but then my cable just died from unplugging it somehow and I went to the dollarstore and bought a cheap 3$ (3D HDMI Cable) so I'd guess it is...

Re: XL2411Z V2, my findings so far [settings, VT1500 trick,

Umm it's already way better with 100Hz and above than 60Hz strobbing and the monitor is already a "Flicker-Free" version so I don't know what else you could try other than lowering the brightness to 120cd/m2 which on my XL2120Z is having the brightness to 13. Then maybe try V-Sync?

Re: XL2411Z V2, my findings so far [settings, VT1500 trick,

Does VT1500 or VT1502 trick makes input lag a tiny lower (better) in regular FPS1 mode with BenQ Blur Reduction OFF? I can't tell but I sure have absolutely zero input lag with VT1500 and my (Steelseries Rival). I personnaly see no point at all in playing game without Blur Reduction as it's pretty ...

Re: XL2411Z V2, my findings so far [settings, VT1500 trick,

Yeap, 60Hz is painful, seizure inducing. The "problem" is there is no in-between from 100Hz to 60Hz, so I guess 100Hz will do. I was just trying to optimise, it's not like the 100Hz setting causes problems in the game itself. Hmm ya there is a way for even down to 60Hz actualy. It says it on top of...

Re: XL2411Z V2, my findings so far [settings, VT1500 trick,

BF4 is set to 100Hz @ VT1502, FPS limited to 99. I find this a good value as getting 120FPS from a 780TI Classy is hard with everything turned up. So no issues here. That's nice, I use exactly the same settings for BF4 as I've tryed 120Hz before and it's impossible to never drop below that frame ra...

Re: XL2411Z V2, my findings so far [settings, VT1500 trick,

I've done several tests with my ( X-Rite Colormunki Display ) on this monitor and here's what I've been able to notice. 1- Setting the Vertical Total at 1502 result in an increase of brightness of 30cd/m2 ! 2- On my XL2420Z I get 121-123cd/m2 with the brightness set to 13. If I activate Blur Reducti...

Re: XL2411Z V2, my findings so far [settings, VT1500 trick,

Every time I uninstall the Nvidia drivers and install the new ones, I have to patch the clock limit again (and restore custom resolutions, and game profiles...). There is an easy way to know if you're using custom timings: check what refresh rate your monitor reports. In my case, it reports 60Hz wi...
