Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
I was using out-the-box-settings sans "Game Mode." I will clarify that in the article. To be clear, I never had Game Mode, Game DVR, or fullscreen optimizations enabled for the test games during actual tests in the article. So you specifically disabled the fullscreen optimizations then? They're ena...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
Great article, though I'm confused about one thing with the testing. At one point you say that you disabled Windows 10 Game Mode and the "Fullscreen Optimizations" but further down the page you say that you were using "the latest public build of Windows 10 with out-of-the-box settings". Do you know ...

Re: Science: Scanout Skew -vs- Skew of Infinite-fps VSYNC OF
[RealWorld] Scanout skew is so minor that we don't see it in everyday use, but it's there, with a ~2-3 degree skew during 64 pixels per frame (ppf) at 1440p 60Hz (about 3840pps) via this animation -> Height -> "Full Screen" -> View at 60Hz from 2 meters away . And often falls to about 1 degree skew...

Re: G-Sync requiring very low FPS cap?
My going theory, is core parking, as I've had it disabled for years. It isn't disabled by default, but "High Performance" sets the CPU to its highest frequency, overrides all bios power settings, and (I believe) disables core parking. That might be why I've not seen a difference between the Ryzen B...

Re: Creators Update Game Mode reduces input lag
I would have expected this to be caused by the new fullscreen presentation mode rather than game mode specifically. Unless games which are not on Microsoft's whitelist for the new presentation mode also see that reduction in latency? (screen will flash twice when you hit Win+G in FSE Mode) Is it wor...

Re: G-Sync requiring very low FPS cap?
I'm not really seeing a difference between the Ryzen Balanced and High Performance power plans. At least from a quick test.

Re: Issue with Viewsonic XG2703-GS - covers 75% of sRgb gamu
Lots of games have banding in them. It's far less likely to be the monitor, assuming it has at least a native 8-bit panel.

Re: Issue with Viewsonic XG2703-GS - covers 75% of sRgb gamu
I've reset all the NVIDIA controls to default, and turned G-Sync off. I've put the refresh rate at 60hz and did a short calibration test. For some reason that seemed to do the trick. This time, the sRgb coverage was at 99.6%, which I'm very happy with! Unfortunately I still can't get past 120hz. I ...

Re: Microsoft EDGE 15 cannot do 120Hz with www.testufo.com
I don't always respond to these sort of news posts, but I do always appreciate the work you're putting in Mark. It will be amazing if browsers could support VRR one day - at least for video playback, but ideally the whole thing. Page scrolling is disappointingly jerky in browsers even with a G-Sync ...

Re: flood's input lag measurements
This new "non-exclusive fullscreen" mode is actually quite awesome, when you think about it. No input lag, but still faster alt+tabbing compared to exclusive, and you can still switch resolution, and your color settings are followed (I think.) So does that mean games running in the new borderless m...
