Re: 24gl600f

I've had a 24GL600F myself for just over a week now. Paid £190 here in the UK. My initial thoughts; PPI at 23.6" 1080p is noticeably crisper than my 24" and 24.5" monitors. Contrast is noticeably improved when compared to my XG2402, XG240R, and XG258Q. Colours look inkier/deeper (likely because of t...

Re: Asus XG258 Questionable Overdrive

I'm torn about the XG258Q. It does offer objectively better performance metrics for me in Aim Lab over my 144hz monitors. Wish I could find an acceptable trade off for the overdrive settings. Observed in Test UFO with my sample; OD level 3 gives very obvious colourful shadowy overshoot which I find ...

Re: Asus XG258 Questionable Overdrive

I received an XG258Q in for testing last week (July 2018 build) and agree the overdrive/overshoot is unacceptable for me personally. The overshoot issues are particularly bad in Apex Legends where it's really obvious on every tree/rock/wall edge/etc. I can confirm it is very fast with regards to inp...

Re: Help me choose a monitor please.

I have a Zowie XL2546 and it is fantastic in games which can sustain a constant 240fps (Overwatch and CS:GO). I have read there are benefits to 240hz monitors even if you're capped at 144fps, which I believe is due to the faster scan out and reduced lag jitter. Perhaps Chief or jorimt can chime in o...

Re: XG2402 too bright!!

That looks like a bad sample to me. I have an XG2402 and it doesn’t exhibit those issues. Only thing I can suggest is try changing your gamma settings in the OSD? PC monitors review settings for guidance; Gaming Settings= CUSTOM 1 Rampage Response= Fast Black Stabilization= 11 (higher reduces contra...

Re: Picking a 1080p 144hz G-Sync Monitor

I'm sure Notty_PT will be here shortly to espouse its values and virtues :) , but I can confirm the ViewSonic XG2402 is an excellent choice for 1080p 144hz competitive gaming. I was in a similar position to yourself (PUBG and Apex are my games) and did a lot of reading here on blurbusters before reg...

Re: Apex Legends Optimal Settings for 240hz G-Sync Monitors

It will have moments with 300fps and then suddenly drop to 130 on some areas, as it was before. And to me that´s awful for your aim. doesn´t matter if you are at 240hz, 480hz or 1000hz. A drop from 250 to 130 is a huge difference on mouse sensitivity (muscle memory), and can only hurt, I would rath...

Zowie XL2546 & Apex Legends what settings?

Hello fellow blur busters, I have an XL2546 in for testing specifically with Apex Legends. It pains me to say that I've been rather underwhelmed so far... Image quality out of the box was shockingly poor for a premium product, but those concerns were largely resolved after turning off black equalise...

Re: ViewSonic XG2402 vs ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278Q

Ok time for a quick update. Thanks to Notty_PT and everyone else for your input so far. So I spent time this weekend comparing the XG2402 and PG278Q side by side with UFO pursuit camera and playing Apex extensively on each. Initial thoughts are XG2402 does indeed have better motion blur control. The...
