Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

I've heard rumors about release on third week of September. EDIT: end of September
Also the XV242F got released a few days ago in China, it uses the same panel.

In my eyes, the 360Hz TN of XL2566K is more clear than the 390Hz Fast-IPS from Acer. And it is still by a 'significant' margin to me. This is mainly based on playing in a FPS game where I run 390+ FPS at all times. I used VRB=extreme on the Acer and now I'm using Persistence=25 with XL2566K (maximum...

Re: A way to change monitor aspect

I suppose you could use a lower resolution, and then select the proper option in Nvidia Control Panel (NVCP) under Adjust Desktop Size and Resolution. Assuming your monitor is 1920x1080 native and 25', you get 21.54' by using 1648x927 resolution (you can create custom resolution in NVCP). I found th...

Re: Dough's upcoming OLED monitor will be the first to support 240Hz BFI

No, they explain it's 120Hz BFI.
That is, 240Hz without BFI, and 120Hz with BFI.

Re: ULMB 2 Released

Is a Nvidia card needed for ULMB2? For some reason my 1st Gen 360Hz PG25QNR does not offer ULMB through the panel.. I mean it's there it's just not selectable. Is it cause of my AMD GPU? I don't know, but in any case, ULMB2 is not supported on PG259QN/R . ULMB (not ULMB2) is supported on 240Hz (not...

Re: XG2401 here. Wait for better OLEDs or buy something now?

Acer XV252Q F is better and cheaper than PG259QN/R. Acer XV252Q F has backlight strobing (VRB) at 390Hz. With VRB=Extreme the screen is dim but I got used to it. PG27AQN is 1440p at 360Hz with ultrafast IPS, with faster pixel transitions than PG259QN/R or XV252Q F, apparently with comparable pixel t...

Re: Does Price Correlate To Quality?

For my use case, XL2566K is significantly better than XV252Q F. XL2566K is better mainly for two reasons: - DyAc (whose pulse width is adjustable with Blur Busters Strobe Utility), - faster pixel transitions thanks to TN. Regarding price, it is simply the law of diminishing returns. And it being a T...

Re: does a 1080p monitor have better image than a 2k monitor at 1080p?

Wouldn't using 1080p with black bars on a 1440p screen preserve the 1:1 map and therefore, preserve image sharpness just like if it was 1080p native?

Re: Aw2524h 500hz in stock on Dells website

First technical review: https://youtu.be/Y_AN6rW1WcY What’s the overall summary/conclusion of the review? I can’t listen to that guy for 25 minutes 😅. He showed pixel response time charts comparing XL2566K, PG27AQN and AW2524H. Average response time for XL2566K and PG27AQN were 1.4 ms, and for AW25...
