Software Based BFI [Is it Better than Hardware Sometimes?]
I realized I had this up in the wrong section. Im looking for some clarity on how this works. You came to the right place for BFI science! More reading can be found in the Blur Busters Research Portal (Area 51) Is hardware BFI superior? Short Answer: "Depends. Yes & No." Long Answer: Usually, hardw...

Re: Found something related to CS input lag
[removed by moderator] Please don't post pirated downloads. Also, some pirated versions steal bitcoin from your computer's cryptocurrency wallets. I heard one cheating gamer lost over a million dollars worth of crypto, because they installed a malware-infected cheat/pirated download. Also got their...

Re: Does cloning your display cause increases in Input Lag?or FPS drops?
Are there any tutorials for this sort of thing I have a AverMedia LiveGamer 4K and a Zowie 240Hz with dyac+ No, this stuff is generally so flippin' niche, that my reply is probably the definitive guide (litmus test for latency). TL;DR: VSYNC OFF tearline positions perfectly in same positions on bot...

Re: Gsync compatible LFC issue
That's an interesting glitch... Normally the best advice is to tweak LFC higher to a number such as 55 or 65. However, sometimes lowering the minHz threshold actually helps certain VRR panels. On some monitor models (not necessarily yours) making 60fps permanently LFC can sometimes result in better ...

Re: Stutter warnings
Is there an update on this? I get spikes with Balaned plan, would like to keep balanced as I want my CPU to downclock, just without the spikes. Most of the spikes come from other software that behaves inefficiently in Balanced Mode, such as RGB software, or even merely running Task Manager. Try qui...

Re: Sony KDL-40NX711
Try 720p 120Hz instead.
Some old 3D 1080p 60Hz TVs only support 720p 120Hz.
Make sure you recycle the broadcast standard ATSC 720p HDTV modeline, except with refresh rate multipled exactly by two. It's twice the dot clock.

Yes, E-Ink desktop monitors is one unorthodox solution. It's a weird frankenstein solution that ACTUALLY works for some subsection of our audience -- you're probably the 3rd or 4th person I heard this from. But try easier apples first (e.g. older glossy CCFL Apple displays etc, OLED vs LCD, high vs ...

Game Stutters caused by RGB software (e.g. Aorus / Aura / Armory Crate)
I uninstalled 2 RGB programs, Aorus from gigabyte and Aura from Asus. It works fine now. Oh man, sorry for wasting your time, I've read RGB programs could be a problem in another thread where you've already answered. I dunno what i was thinking and why i haven't tried that first. Thanks a million! ...

Re: Why 240fps on my 360hz OLED monitor feels worse than 240fps on my other 240hz Oled monitor ?
After some testing on with the Animation Timing Deviation graph, Ive found out that Armoury Crate (Asus RGB Software) and L-Connect 3 (Lian-li RGB software) were causing stuter on the graph. Ive found out that after disabling all of their processes in the Task Manager. Now. playing at 200 fps is bu...
