Re: Intel 9900K
At game I play (Overwatch) I'm already hitting like 300/210/150 avg/1%/0,1% fps with stream and discord running, which is high enough. I keep seeing these fps splits and I don't get them. One thing I can tell you for sure is that you're not getting 300 fps average, which is the cap, if you're dippi...

Re: Asus PG27U and Acer X27 Impressions (4k/144hz/features)
Huge overlap in impressions here. I was well north of 200 fps without gsync and still the same thing- sort of stuttery, jerky, surprisingly weird. Dealing with a Tracer as McCree or Widow switching down gives exactly that impression of futility whereas on the 240hz monitor her motion is smooth, your...

Intel 9900K
What are your thoughts on this processor? A good upgrade for gaming or not? From what I'm encountering at high fps the CPU becomes important. I currently have a 5ghz 7700k. I'm also unclear on the role of the CPU at say 4k where you won't be hitting 200 fps. Is it worthwhile to try to push fps as hi...

Re: Nvidia GPU GTX 20XX Series likely revealed @ Gamescom 20
What is a bad temp for the CPU? I'm maxing out in the 80s, even hitting 90. How does this affect overall performance and what does it do to the lifespan of the CPU? Upgrading to 9900k is going to be a shit-ton of extra money factoring in the motherboard ($900 with taxes between the two). Wondering w...

Re: 240hz with Lower FPS?
240hz is smoother than 144hz. In my experience there is no enough at 144hz in first person shooters.

Re: 240hz with Lower FPS?
Why spend over $500 for a 240hz monitor at 150 fps?

Here's the ballpark to expect at 1440 ultrawide. https://imgur.com/Zf2XBvn So obviously they kept silent on the lower resolution performance intentionally (which gets progressively worse), those little zits. How did they get 40%-50% for 4k though when reviewers and everyone else rarely hit 40% in an...

Re: Asus PG27U and Acer X27 Impressions (4k/144hz/features)
I got a 2080 ti and decided to revisit this monitor in Overwatch. For whatever reason I get well over 200 fps at 1920x1080 as well as 4k, much of the time above 240, so I was able to give both monitors a decent shake at uncapped fps (300) with GSYNC disabled. It's a night and day difference. The 240...

I got an MSI Trio X from the Micro Center. Caught one being available at 1:20 in the morning. Must've been a cancelled or expired preorder.

Re: Nvidia GPU GTX 20XX Series likely revealed @ Gamescom 20
If anyone spots available 2080 ti Strixes post here... although I think if I see an MSI X Trio I might just pick that one and not bother waiting on Asus to release a card that appears to be extremely similar, and even marginally beaten.
