Re: 165 Hz 2560x1440 Curved 27" G-Sync TN - Asus PG27VQ
:D I used the 60Hz ULMB guide (https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3501) as reference. Using your 120Hz +5VT pixel clock for other refresh rates (changing HT and VT as needed to get that pixel clock or somewhere near it), you get G-Sync+ULMB at any refresh rate that isn't too tight. T...

Re: 165 Hz 2560x1440 Curved 27" G-Sync TN - Asus PG27VQ
Interesting results in my tests. Lightboost is indeed fixed strobe, so dimming the display gives no motion clarity benefits. Just what I expected to happen. One of the very few flaws I can find about G-Sync monitors. My biggest takeaway though is for some reason Lightboost has less strobe-cross tal...

Your base fps would need to be high to get good interpolation. Base 30fps would create an artifact mess. And some people would prefer to have pure real fps.

Re: 165 Hz 2560x1440 Curved 27" G-Sync TN - Asus PG27VQ
With my PG278QR, I never get out of ULMB mode outside of the rare case of the monitor being asleep and then waking up. It sometimes has ULMB disabled completely and I have to reconnect it. More annoying for me is closing a game in 3D Vision and Lightboost being stuck. It's annoying because it has mo...

Re: G-Sync and ULMB at the same time is in fact possible!
That intermittent black frame problem happens to me when I overclock my monitor to >125Hz (so 126Hz or 127Hz because I can't get more). Try doing a custom refresh rate of less than 120Hz with the same timings and check if it happens. Also, what you have seen might be instead something that sometimes...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
@masterotaku, I've never used SpecialK. Are you saying it does something similar to the above, but is too hard on the CPU as a result? I think it does exactly what you want, applying the necessary wait time to cap the game at the fps you need (with a lot of decimals of precision) and you don't have...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
What about SpecialK for fps limiting?: https://github.com/Kaldaien/SpecialK/releases It has an optional busy-wait limiter, framerate variance tolerance, and lots of features. And it has a GUI where you can change the settings in real time. I tried it in Trails of Cold Steel and it's very smooth, but...

Re: looking for a new 240hz monitor purely for csgo
snip PM answered. Yeah, only 1/3 of ULMB monitors have been confirmed to work. And some others (I don't remember which ones) were failures. Then maybe almost half of ULMB monitors have been tested. If I could, I would enable single strobing down to a bit less than 30fps, just for fun :p. Ideally it...

Re: looking for a new 240hz monitor purely for csgo
Right now, we're mostly stuck without the ability to combine strobing and VRR simultaneously, it's one-or-the-other. https://media.tenor.com/images/62827eb706e8dbc331cc4d6aea6b9a0c/tenor.gif I wouldn't say "mostly" when it's pretty easy to do currently on G-Sync monitors, although unofficially. I c...

G-Sync + ULMB work out the box or some tinkering is required? http://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2883 Check that thread. There are lots of pages of discussion and experimentation, but in the last pages (and the edited OP) you'll see the easiest methods, which are very easy to do. Apa...
