Re: LG 27" 1440p 240hz OLED Ultragear 27GR95QE
I'm currently working to press for progress behind the scenes. There is very limited control of how Blur Busters can influence a giant panel factory to modify the backplanes, but I am working hard to move the needle at least a little. Much like I toppled a few reluctant dominoes for 60Hz single-str...

Re: LG 27" 1440p 240hz OLED Ultragear 27GR95QE
Really wondering what's coming re: these OLED monitors. The main page saying the chief has been working with vendors suggests one of them may have a good BFI mode, but his posts elsewhere suggesting that a 240hz OLED combined with a software bfi solution could make for a good 3d monitor replacement ...

Re: ViewSonic XG2431 Discussion Thread [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS with Best Strobing]
Chief, Is there some setting or trick you can use on this monitor to prevent image retention when viewing alternating frame content? (example to illustrate point: Retroarch has a software black frame insertion mode. If you set the monitor to 120hz and enable software bfi, the screen is being fed one...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]
Can I expect no ghosting 3D stereo image with quadro graphic card / stereo 3 pin extension connector/active IR shutter glass and this viewsonic XG270? Personally I'd consider the ViewSonic XG2431 for even better zero-crosstalk results (using 120Hz with the VT2250 trick). Make sure the 3D glasses ar...

Re: XG2431 -PureXP- 240hz settings for fast FPS games like OW2
Specific to the XG2431; Out of the box, 240hz won't need much in the way of special tuning. We're so close to the max pixel clock that the monitor can handle that you're not going to squeeze much more out of it by using a custom resolution. Turn on purexp to your preferred setting for brightness / c...

Re: Lg c1 at 120hz vs lg c2 at 60hz
I can't remember where I read it at this point, but as I recall it, the c2 only refreshes at 120hz intervals, which is why bfi doesn't work at 120hz. If this is indeed the reason, then bfi for 60hz would mean 8~ms frame time and 8~ black time, giving it an approximate clarity equivalent to 120fps co...

Re: ViewSonic XG2431 Discussion Thread [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS with Best Strobing]
Does the strobe utility support command line arguments? Trying to think of a way to write a simple batch file or script that can change your resolution / refresh rate / strobe settings by double clicking one thing, rather than having to find settings in windows and then manually re-apply strobe sett...

Re: Here's why G-SYNC monitors flicker
SInce this is a necro-bumped thread from year 2014, I have new info to add in 2021: G-SYNC monitor flicker is caused by multiple causes: - Pixel fade (pixel charge bleed) - Slow inversion artifacts - The ratio of LCD GtG to frametime (for flicker during moving objects) - Gamma differences at differ...

Re: ViewSonic Now Shipping XG2431 as of NOW!!! [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS]
i just got an email from sales that my order was delayed until Sept because of a firmware issue that made the monitor "underperform from the advertised specs." I guess they've fixed it and have to flash the new firmware before they can ship.. i dunno but I cancelled my order. I'm not in a huge hurr...

144 Hz QFT (Large Vertical Totals) 144hz QFT.jpg 99.8% sure you either posted the wrong screenshot for 144hz, or you used a VT so far the monitor went back to stock. That 144hz shot looks like my XL2720Z without a VT Tweak. It would appear that you are correct, I found a vertical total that didn't ...
