Re: Apex legends, Gameplay feels awful/choppy
developers can even artificially increase input lag in their code and system performance would have zero to do with the effect on it. It's certainly true that devs can prioritize engine-level latency as little or as much as they want in certain respects (such as frame buffers, render time budgets, ...

Re: Screen tearing fix with GSYNC OFF
Drivers don't exist and or interact with g-sync & you're 100% right :?: I can't keep having that conversation. You still believe it's about frames per second lmao, you haven't learned anything. :| "Rendered" frames (frametime duration, consistency, and distribution, specifically), not FPS. For the ...

Re: Is blue light filter a gimmick?
Historical evidence linking "intelligence" to a higher risk of eye focusing problems, as an example, is now thought to be a link to increased education and the consequential increase in time spent book-reading, staring at pages up close Correct, before there were screens, there were books. I assume...

Re: Is blue light filter a gimmick?
But long-term studies DO show people are having to wear glasses about 10 year sooner than they used to be. Yup. That, and with so many children now staring at blue light devices all day from a such young age with it very close to their faces, it probably doesn't help the long term development or co...

Re: Screen tearing fix with GSYNC OFF
G-Sync does add latency maybe not on a display level. Wha? G-SYNC is AT the display-level. It's impossible for it to add latency during the render-process, because it doesn't operate at the render-level. As I've stated repeatedly, G-SYNC receives the frames AFTER render. You can measure your latenc...

Re: stuttering caused by GSYNC
After tens (hundreds?) of tests, I found that disabling GSYNC solved all my problem. To be sure, I tried to simulate scenarios that I was sure were a problem and found that the problem was actually in GSYNC. I don't know enough about your particular setup to say for certain whether "G-SYNC" is the ...

Re: Screen tearing fix with GSYNC OFF
I'm far from a g-sync expert but any sort of syncing requires X amount of time for it to happen delaying the frames delivery right? Not with G-SYNC. It, unlike every other syncing method, syncs the display directly to the GPU-ouptut, which means it displays, within its range, the frame in the exact...

Re: Screen tearing fix with GSYNC OFF
Reducing latency jitter (max & min latency) is far more important than just the average. Using g-sync will inherently increase latency (obviously) , but i don't consider tearing a form of latency. The very fact that you're still stating the emboldended means you don't understand G-SYNC well enough....

Re: Is blue light filter a gimmick?
Do you guys think it does anything for your eye health? After googling some recent studies there seems to be no proof that blue light is causing us any harm. I've been using blue light filters for the past 8 years on my monitors. Now I'm so used to the yellow tint on my screens that without it the ...
