Re: Trying to understand gsync and fps with vsync - Apex legends specifically
I've come down to setting Apex as such. Gsync on, nvcp v sync on. Now after this, if I set the fps limit in game to 141, 142, 143 via a command line in launch options, the fps seems to be stuck at 138, and even if i set the fps limit in nvcp to 141,142,143 whatever. It's still stuck around 138. Tha...

Re: Preferred refresh rate doubt
Should I cap the fps to the minimum that the game gives or to -3 of the monitor frequency? (for example FH4 gives me a minimum of 130fps and variable up to a maximum of 144fps at times) The -3 FPS limit isn't recommended for consistency reason, it's only to keep the framerate within the refresh rat...

Re: Preferred refresh rate doubt
hello I have a 144hz monitor. In the nvidia control panel when I select gsync, it is automatically placed: preferred update frequency : the highest available. I always used it like that, but I was in doubt, then; Should I leave it like this or is it better to be controlled by the 3d application? As...

Re: G-Sync 144hz with 60fps cap?
I've had this thing for years, and was considering getting a 4K 144hz G-Sync monitor (maybe the Acer X28 if it ever materialises). I'm just wondering - would there be any issues with having a global NVCP frame cap of 60fps on that monitor, running 144hz? This is a frequently asked question. I just ...

> im lag > hi end pc > amd... lol? Super helpful Intel fanboi! Probably just dreaming of the day's Intel had better CPUs and held the bench records. Any hyperbole of the previous commenter aside, this does bring to mind something I had originally failed to mention; when directly compared to their e...

Re: If i get 170 FPS at 240hz monitor?
The question is what happens if i get 170fps at 240hz monitor. Does it increase input lag or does it cause anything else? 170 FPS at 240Hz has lower lag (faster frame delivery) than 170 FPS at 170Hz, for instance, due to an increased scanout speed, at least as long as you're running G-SYNC on + V-S...

Re: Can excessive anti-aliasing cause any input lag?
And what do you mean with "more work for the frame"? He's saying that even if you aren't GPU-limited, GPU-heavy settings will still increase render time, but as I said in my previous comment in this thread, that's not what most consider or refer to as traditional "input lag," since it's part of the...

Re: Does Display Lag increase over Time?
I wondered if the Display Lag/Monitor Input Lag from TN panels increases after a couple of years? And do other things of the monitor degrade over time? Like brightness, colors, contrast and response time. I don't see a technical reason why display lag would increase over time, unless one of the int...
