Re: Help with new XB270HU
Hello all, my new XB270HU is my first ever foray into the high refresh monitor market and I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do to really get the best out of it, I currently have it set to 165Hz at a resoultion of 2560x1440 and it looks really nice but I notice a blur/ghosting effect in ...

Re: Laser projectors general? [zero lag & zero blur!!!]
Maybe I'm wrong. I do love Imax though, but unless it's being shown on 70mm film then DCI 2K/4K doesn't contain HDR by default AFAIK. This is something I'm curious about - hateful eight was shot on 70mm film (which I assume is then transferred to digital). But when you say it's shown on 70mm film d...

Re: Laser projectors general? [zero lag & zero blur!!!]
Last movie I saw at scotiabank in imax was interstellar. Was pretty good :) I don't know much about theatre projection technologies - are all imax laser movies "HDR"? It's hard to say. They don't seem to want to pooh-pooh their existing Digital Imax format too much, but, from what they have here ab...

Re: Laser projectors general? [zero lag & zero blur!!!]
imo it's still a buzzword in the same way "HD" was a buzzword a few years ago. personally, it's nothing too exciting. e.g. hd was just adding more pixels, hdr is just adding more max luminance and bitdepth to go along with it. and when i'm indoors, i don't really care to see exceptionally bright hi...

Re: Laser projectors general? [zero lag & zero blur!!!]
They said the same about 3D Televisions That's what Display Manufacturers indeed want you to think The fact is Standard Blu-ray is still being beaten by DVD's Ultra HD Blu-ray is dead on arrival at this point Haven't we all realized at this point that market acceptance means fuck-all for the merits...

Re: BenQ XL2411Z View Angle
Yo guys! I had a Samsung S24D590PL and sold it in order to buy this new BenQ. One huge difference I noticed between the two monitors is the view angle. The Samsung was amazing at that, because the screen image would always look the same. It would allow me to look at the monitor from above and below...

I wouldn't call OLED, 4K and HDR dumb gimmicks. With the three we could finally have wall-sized simulacra in the near future (<10 years if you're rich).

Re: ROG SWIFT PG278Q Firmware Update?
No firmware updates have been released yet for any G-Sync monitors, and I don't think there will be any most likely.
