Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

Every 360hz monitor is rubbish, Acer nitro too. It is my opinion and trust me, I am not the only one. I don't think they're rubbish for people who want the lowest input lag. Asus 360 Hz had the lowest input lag on RTINGs. Now Acer 390 Hz is almost a full ms faster. I have seen data showing that it ...

Re: Does Mousetester/LatencyMon respond to emi?

0 either disabled the buffer or sets it to default. Usually the value 16 (decimal) is the lowest safe limit for the buffers. I can't say for sure if 0 or 16 feels better as my PC has issues with interference. I'm going to test this more later today and try to find the exact buffer sizes with variou...

Re: Does Mousetester/LatencyMon respond to emi?

Most buffers can't be modified without reversing drivers or modifying them in some manner. What i mean by M&K buffers is the ones you can change through the registry (KeyboardDataQueueSize & MouseDataQueueSize 0 for both). Yes MSI is slower than MSI-X. Msi-X is much much faster and lower latency th...

Re: 8k mouse

I have a 8700k and a 2070 Super. So for the most part I get around 120fps some games way more but overall 120fps I can maintain. I only really have issues with the higher polling rate on Rust and Valorant. I will be trying to manually assign core affinities to the mouse driver soon, so I will repor...

Re: Does Mousetester/LatencyMon respond to emi?

I mean most of the EMI stuff is more or less snake oil/Rare You should really focus on the more low hanging fruit. I think it's reasonable to try new things like a fiber optic display port cable, messing around with spread spectrum settings etc. There's more advanced things you can do but that requ...

Re: Does Mousetester/LatencyMon respond to emi?

Playing in the AM is noticeably smoother/responsive though probably due to cleaner electricity. I have thought I have felt this before, but honestly I am not 100% sure. I think this "feeling" could honestly have been from my mousepad (Zowie GSR-SE) being affected by humidity and causing it to feel ...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

Does anyone here have this monitor and something like an LDAT to quickly run some latency tests?

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

Wasn't that optimum tech guy, the one that preferred using Strobed 240hz with 144hz input lag levels, instead of 360hz? :S I'm not sure, but he objectively measured that the input lag at 390 Hz was the lowest he has ever tested. I am not saying you're wrong about 390 Hz possibly having more input l...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

But I dont think this is a great monitor anyway. Input lag increases ar 390hz compared to 360hz, it is blurry (even tho, less than the other models) How do you know it increases at 390 Hz? From the testing I have seen, at 390 Hz it is nearly one ms faster than the ASUS 360 Hz monitor (the previous ...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

The thing is that you guys are using an AMD GPU and FreeSync, while I'm using an Nvidia GPU with all syncing technologies on all monitors turned off and it's still going crazy when using 390 Hz. I really hope I do not have this problem when mine arrives in a week. I have an RTX 2080 Ti and do not u...
