Re: Best 240hz monitor for FPS
For overwatch i have come to prefer gsync 240hz with uncapped frame rate (300) and set nvidia control pannel to vsync off so that when it goes over the gsync limit it behaves as a vsync off screen. I have a 6th gen i7 locked at 3.1ghz and can actually push more than 240fps most of the time but somet...

Re: 240Hz vs 120Hz ULMB for FPS games
I can only say from what i have experience with. The pg258q is nice because of its brightness. With strobbing sometimes brightness can get low due to the backlight being on for less time. The pg258q is very bright normally letting you use ULMB and still have great brightness. If you have an nvidia c...

with overwatch i used to use 147 fps and that was pretty good for 144hz vsync off

Re: looking for a new 240hz monitor purely for csgo
I seem to like ULMB when im moving the mouse a little more slowly. I can clearly see each image of the enemy letting me pick them out and their locations fast. Anytime I move the mouse quickly I like GSYNC smoothness so i can time when to hit the fire button exactly. ULMB is also just really nice wh...

Re: looking for a new 240hz monitor purely for csgo
I can say the pg258q is an excellent monitor but its best qualities are low input lag, low response time, bright, 240hz, 144hz ULMB, and gsync.

Re: Upgraded to a "flawless sensor" mouse and I love it
I can't find much info on this. A quick search turned up some issues with tracking of fast motions on high sense and some issues with tracking on slow movements compared to death adder 2013. Some of these were resolved by cleaning dust off the mousepad or switching mouse pad but i think the fast mov...

Getting more CPU performance for overwatch
I thought I'd share this trick with you guys. If you are bottlenecked by your cpu and want higher fps or maybe you want to turn on "reduce buffering" for input lag reduction and not lose any fps. The main graphics setting turns on and off many cpu intensive things like physics objects. You can turn ...

Re: New term: "Frame Rate Amplification" (1000fps in cheap G
Well the easiest way to do this and have it look good is by keeping track of layers that occlude eachother and have different motions. If the camera just rotates in one spot you only need one layer. But if you have a stationary user interface or some robot flying in front of the other stuff you will...

Re: I don't think my desired monitor exist.
You listed the things you want but i still want to get a better idea. It sounds like your top priority is response time and motion blur. I got the pg258q because tft central measured pretty darn good response times and input lag and it does 240hz gsync. If you want a 27 inch ips for color quality an...
