Re: which 144hz monitor should i get for around 250€

I think there are some 240hz options at this price range too. Maybe AG251FZ ? If 144hz, then LG 24gm79 is also an option but viewsonic NC recommended might be better. With 240hz You get better motion quality, no scanlines (LG 24gm79g have scanlines and some 144hz units also do), maybe better contras...

Re: Improved 240Hz, better viewing angles, better color, 0.5

Interesting. I owned two AG251fg monitors with the famous 24,5" 240hz panel. There were no scanlines like on 144hz tn panels Colors were good Contrast was surprisingly good 1000:1 (unlike mostly 600:1 on 144hz mode on 144hz old type) What was problematic for me was: -bad viewing angles. Gamma change...

Re: Trying to decide on a new monitor

Thanks. This confirms that new 240hz panels at both 24.5 and 27" posibly do not change depending on 60 vs 240hz. So maybe that is only a thing of 23.8" monitors.

Anyway - aside from refresh rate. Do You see any edge lit bleed on this monitor aside from color shifts?

Re: Trying to decide on a new monitor

Going TN is not a bad thing really. TN monitors can look very good color wise and I think the viewing angles issues are usually overblown. Just sit normally at You desk with eyes at abouit 2/3rd level of a monitor and it's all good. + TN have best response times(so least ghosting), fastest input lag...

Re: Gamma degradation and blb increasing when raising HZ

I don't know. It is probably the same panel as all 144hz 23,8" monitors but chief confirmed that gamma/contrast/blb can get worse with raising hz. From 240hz monitors I've used, they looked the same all the time. At 60 and at 240hz. But they looked like lg on 144hz all the time. With this 23,8" there...

Re: LG 27GK750F-B - 240Hz, 27" 1ms Blur reduction, Freesync

Anyone checked how is gamma degradation on this monitor? I mean - does it look worse at 120/240 than 60hz? Just pop out black screen, look for bleeding/imperfections. Then switch to 120/240 and black could get worse as contrast and colors. This is what happens on my LG 24gm79g. It looks great on 60...

Re: Gamma degradation and blb increasing when raising HZ

It's panel lottery. I had and tested dozens of 120/144hz monitors and each unit was unique. Now I have XL2540 (240hz) for a year and it has best colors I ever seen. Panel lottery is one thing. I think I've got golden too because at 60/75hz it's one of best screens I've seen with fully uniform scree...

Gamma degradation and blb increasing when raising HZ

Hey, I've recently got LG 24GM79G and noticed that it looks much better at 60/75hz than 120/144h. At higher refresh rates contrast is lower, gamma is lower and some clouding/blb starts to appear resulting in more washed out image. At 60hz, full black screen is completely uniform and black. No blb, n...

Re: Low refresh rate Single Strobing (60hz+) interest

It must be. Feels like interpolation/frame insertion rather than real 60hz strobing
