Re: Free 120Hz Monitor Giveaway -- ended Feb 28th, 2015

winner will be notified by March 15th, 2015 Wait, why would you wait two weeks before giving it away? :? It is not as easy as pulling a number out of a hat. There's actually a law that applies to me. <LONG-ANSWER> There's a process totalling several hours, almost a full day's work, that also (a) in...

Re: BENQ XL2420Z V4 FIRMWARE DOWNLOAD !!!

I'll send an inquiry about what V4 fixes. Probably just a number of minor or usability fixes, none of them strobe related.

Anyy firmware V2 and later are the important ones for Blur Busters Strobe Utility compatibility.

Re: BBR + CSGO = Stutter?

Blur reduction makes motion much clearer, which makes stutters easier to see. So stutters that are already barely there, becomes easier to see. Framerate capping helps a LOT, but the mouse causes a stutter problem too. This is caused by the beat-frequency effect between the mouse pollrate and the fr...

Re: XL2430T Blur Reduction - Help!

The XL2430T's trail can be greatly diminished by using the VT1350 trick and using the service menu to adjust strobe phasing. Unfortunately, the XL2430T is incompatible with the Blur Busters Strobe Utilty , so adjustments need to be made via the service menu. Another option is to use the LightBoost h...

Re: Highest current LCD frame rate?

Good questions. Some SEIKI HDTV's can accept 240Hz input, but they only show 120 visible refresh cycles per second (frame skipping every other refresh cycle). Input refresh rate does not always equal panel refresh rate. Currently the highest refresh rate I know a LCD can do, is from blue-phase LCDs ...

Re: Here's a real example of a 1000hz display... I think

Edmond, I have some corrections for your information about OLEDs: It'd be pretty neat to have 1000hz with 1ms response time. OLED has a response times of 0.02ms for ALL colors, not just grey2grey. Depends on OLED. Active matrix OLED is slower. http://www.blurbusters.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/ol...
