Does the Eizo still use frame rate control dithering? Is that why the color goes down? Obviously it should.

It's zero-viewing angle based on real world experiences.

Pentile is in fact subpixel rendering. It is the very embodiment of subpixel rendering. You can't get any more subpixel rendering than distributing the energy of the subpixel primaries in a fixed hardware design.
