Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

monitor.....duh It is not my fault you don't clarify what you are talking about. You know there are separate settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel and the monitor itself, right? And the message from me that you quoted was actually in response to a post by the Chief that was talking about changing it...

just set to 8 and 8 and forget.
Set what to 8 and 8? The brightness and contrast in the NVIDIA Control Panel? What about on the monitor's OSD itself?

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

Wdym by contrast reduction trick? Kind of like this trick the Chief was talking about. https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4973 But I have also found success with reducing ghosting by lowing the contrast on the monitor as much as possible and by increasing the brightness to compensate.

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

after posting world's first and only (to this date) legit reviews, all extensively 10 videos of it, courtesy of Blurbuster TestUFO minisite assortments of tests. Where can I find these extensive videos? But again this is not even 390hz. it's like a slight backstab. Why is it not 390 Hz? Also aren't...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

people who live in the gulag had to get with in order to survive, but when choices are available and you don't have all the time in the world to experience it all and compare, or experiment on practicing your endurance with crap gear to boost your raw skill and potential, nobody would intentionally...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

I have exactly the same experience. I don't benefit much from blur reduction. https://blurbusters.com/the-stroboscopic-effect-of-finite-framerate-displays/ What is strange is that I noticed BFI clearly making a difference on my AW2518H (I only tried it a few times for testing) even though it only r...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

I’m actually leaning towards the Nitro a bit more now. I can tell you from my limited experience with it that it's really fast. On the UFO test at 1920 pixels per second, there's almost no visible ghosting at all. However, this is with my own settings and the known contrast reduction trick. I have ...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

I just got my monitor. Overall, I think it’s a solid improvement from my AW2518H. Display lag feels lower and the higher refresh rate is noticeable. However, is it strange that black frame insertion feels almost the exact same on or off? Is it because the refresh rate is already so high? I mean, I c...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

What's the consensus on the best overdrive for this monitor? I would assume normal or extreme. I have also seen a lot of people say that extreme is surprisingly good on this monitor, considering Acer's extreme mode is typically poor. I am talking about without backlight strobing enabled at all.

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

These new 23.8 Innolux 240hz monitors are on a league of their own. 2 people have now reviewed the AOC 24G2ZU and one of them did the appropriate testing on it and turned out it had on-par input lag with the 360hz PG259QNR. Amazing. Also, I value consistency a lot and since I'm gonna be playing gam...
