What can cause wireless mouse to feel delayed/floaty?

Post by dermodemon » 03 Nov 2024, 05:23

Hello. I have huge amount of wireless mice and ALL of them has input delay/floaty feeling and unpredictable aim. Muscle memory is completely getting f***ed
When i plug in an usb cable this problem completely disappears.

Even 8khz mice feel like i am playing cloud gaming service.

SPECS:
Windows 11 24h2
B450m-pro4-f asrock
GIGABYTE RTX 3080 GAMING OC Rev. 2.0
32GB of DDR4 ram running 3200mhz
Ryzen 5600x

Mice:

Mchose G3 ultra 8k
G PRO X SUPERLIGHT
Fantech aria xd7
Zaopin Z2 4k
Razer orochi v2
VXE R1 Pro
Darmoshark M3
Logitech G305

I tried timer resolution tweaks, tried turning hpet on/off. Tried fixed cpu clocks. Tried turning on/off Spread Spectrum
I tried turing off all of my bluetooth devices. Tried turning off 2.4 GHz mode on my wi-fi router. Wireless connection still feels delayed.

For the first time I tried wired version of my mouse (X2 Lite) after 2 years of owning the mouse just a week ago, I've literally never played with it wired.

My observation was the the wireless connection was way faster (in terms of sensitivity), but probably is predictable for me because I've been using it for so long and had same sensitivity.

Another observation I noticed was the recoil and bullets in general. With wired connection the recoil was proper, and in fact I started missing some shots just because they were going where they are supposed to. I had another post, my usual HS rate is around 85% in CS2.

Im still testing this (I also changed between different skates, just to make sure im right on this).

So far I have not noticed that my wireless connection was ever faulty, however, that doesn't mean that it's working correctly.

What can cause wireless mouse to feel delayed/floaty?
Poorly designed ARM firmware developed by an inexperienced developer.

why no one else notice this problem? wireless connection is much more unpredictable

You can buy a mouse from a different brand.
