I'm fighting rn with my condo staff and "elevator operators/fixers" if that makes sense, they are incompetent and can't fix our elevator for years (it's jamming, making loud buzzing noises from tech floor, I can hear loud humming/buzzing in headphones, and... I think it's causing electro input lag), and I think there is something like bad ground connection or faulty electronics or what else causing this, an experienced enginner would have fixed that but not these guys![]()

I haven't fixed it, only mitigated some symptoms, but it's on and off now. Some days and even weeks it's perfectly playable, some days (like now) it's all choppy af, even typing now is "delayed" and laggy.dystopia11111 wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025, 21:32Hello! I don't play online FPS games anymore, only Battlefield from time to time, and am moving to other apartment or even to other country, sooner or later, so don't really care anymore tbh.

I have the same problem. I have read the whole topic and tried it with 10 different computers. The same thing happens. Some nights it runs smoothly, but the smoothness of the first week is gone. I am about to go crazy. What is the reason for this problem? All the system data is the same, but the lag I see is not the same.

Try this Fix: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=12927&start=30
your problem does sound really familiar. I had a similar problem when playing a bit to much with CRU.
Windows showed 165hz NVidia Showed 165hz but it felt like 60hz.
That was likely due to a Faulty Handshake from the screen to the graphics card.
The screen tells your graphics card what it is capable of in a small EDID file. For Example 2560x1440 8bpc on 165hz.
Sometimes the EDID doesnt get to the graphics card on boot and windows opts out and falls back on the Basic driver with max 60hz.
That would explain your on and off because everytime you change something in your driver settings or on your Display directly that triggers a reset (short black screen) you get a chance that the EDID is delivered correctly but it can be really inconsistent.
Deleting all Displays saved in your regestry then shutting the PC down. (I would Recommend to unplug the Display completely and hold the on button for 10 seconds so it can reset too) and then simply restarting your PC could make Windows grab the EDID fresh.
If that doesnt work tho try Deleting all EDIDs in the registry then press Win + Ctrl + Shift + B this way your the Basic Display driver EDID wich always gets created on boot (max 60hz) doesnt get in the way.
hth.

Try using a custom resolution of 240HZ
