Counter-Strike 2 Timer Resolution Effect

Post by The90sPope » 07 Oct 2023, 13:18

Hello, switched to Win11 recently, did the registry tweak to achieve system-wide timer resolution.
Forced 0.5ms time resolution. Trying to see if it affects CS2, but I have no tools to measure latency. Only notice a slight drop in FPS that is marginal.

Does anyone know what impact it has on this game?

Timer resolution app is kinda outdated but there is a small improvement to be made.
In older OS's before Win7 the timer would be 15ms but anything newer will be 1ms. (timer resolution sets to .5ms)
If your system is tweaked and adjusted for timers you can use timer resolution as another setting to adjust.

Yeah, I know the basic idea of what the timer does.
I was wondering if someone could benchmark for latency. I don't have hardware to do it.
