Re: Input lag and desync problem due to RAM?

in the end I came to the conclusion that everything depends on the memory controller in the processor... it's a silicon lottery... you can get a few days of good gaming experience and at some point the system starts to become unstable...
But it's worth considering that all this is my speculation since I get a good gaming experience on a different set of RAM on the xmp profile.
the point is that you don't need to chase high frequency and low latency with RAM.

Hello everyone, there is some news!
I have a F4-3200C14D-16GFX RAM and I get errors with the xmp profile on a ryzen 9 5950x processor, an asus rog crosshair VIII Hero WIFI motherboard. For this reason, I get desync and the low fps effect in games.
My computer in an open stand.

Installed old beta version of bios and don't get any errors
Activated profile xmp 3600 cl14
No desync in game

*Always install drivers from the motherboard website.
I have Windows 11 Pro 24h2, without tweaks, I don't change the powerplan, timers, etc. I disable Windows mouse acceleration and key sticking, increase the microphone volume. The latest version of the Nvidia driver and in the NVIDIA panel I set GPU Scaling and Override Scaling Mode Set by Games and Programs. In games, Reflex is enabled and FPS_Max 400. I connect the mouse to a USB port to which nothing is connected except the mouse. The USB port to which I connect the mouse is connected via the chipset. I connect the M2 ssd to the port that is connected to the chipset.

for a web camera, microphone, sound card it is better to purchase a separate USB PCIE card, and also connect the appropriate port so that your GPU is in x16 mode.
I always recommend taking a high-end motherboard, but even such boards have problems...

When I get the chance I'll test it during the day.

After this test, I ran an even harder test and also disabled the RAM cooling so that my BIOS would boot with the "hot settings".

Still desync in games.

To be honest, Intel systems are very complex. A bad combination of Intel ME firmware and chipset drivers can cause abnormal system behavior.

I've just started my journey on the faceit platform and I'm playing with 150 ping and I'm not getting abnormal desync.

I want to share one setting that greatly affects the gaming experience. You need to test it as best you can. When I activate this parameter and play a party, I get a strong desync, but if I go to a solo game, then everything is fine, but sometimes it doesn't. There is a video on YouTube of the NVIDIA settings of the NaVi b1t player, and at one time this parameter was not activated. *I warn you right away not to use display scaling, it is always worse than GPU scaling. Disable monitor technology gsync, adaptive sync, dyac, bfi, etc.
It is recommended to use the default settings here. You do not need to disable vsync and set powerplan maximum performance.

I also use a 2mm mouse LOD, it turns out that I'm somehow using the mouse incorrectly and can't spray well(Corrupted muscle memory).
