Today I learned one interesting dependency on one bios setting.
This setting is:
Legacy IO Low Latency | VarStore: PchSetup, VarOffset: 0x771, Size: 0x1
Disabled: 0x0 (default)
Enabled: 0x1
I dont know why, but it disabled on asus z690 mobo by def, but i know on msi it enable by def.
Test enable\disable:
Settings: useplatformtick yes + 0.5ms, fps_max 400.
I want to note that this is not the maximum fps, but the one on which the game "gets stuck".
upd: on msi board same (disabled)

Re: One interesting thing out of a thousand
Just a side note. How can you compare FPS if you are not even looking at the same spot, possibly even a different map? FPS can vary extremely on how you position your crosshair.
Same thing goes for player count. It seems like you are testing on an online server, no 0 ping. It's normal to get lower FPS with more people on the server.
If you want to prove something then you have to try harder in my opinion.

I'm trying my best, and I'm trying to bring something new to this forum.
But you probably don't see that I'm writing that this is not the maximum fps, but the one on which the game is locked, like 125, 250, 333 fps on the quake engine.
In any case, I do not strongly recommend that, this is not solution, is just a fun fact, it may be useful to someone, or perhaps when combining this setting it will give the best result.
Re: One interesting thing out of a thousand (Legacy IO Low Latency)
How you make test interval - 500 ? On old screenshots it's still 1000 even if the timer is 0.5
Re: One interesting thing out of a thousand (Legacy IO Low Latency)
hmm, im just set 0.5 with any timer res programm.
if not dpc checker take 1ms.
I know what you mean.
I changed the timer resolution without closing the program, so that the interval is updated, you need to restart the program. My mistake.
