Windows Update HID install

Post by BTRY B 529th FA BN » 26 Jun 2022, 09:35

Been using my Glorious D- @ 500Hz for the past month or so and it's been smooth. Windows Update recently installed 2 HID drivers, the first was about 2 weeks ago, the second was yesterday. The latest one started causing weird mouse view stutter. e.g. panning left and right in CS:GO was exhibiting micro-stutter. Changed the mouse to 1000Hz after fiddling around with some things I thought were the problem and the 1000Hz fixed the issue.

Unfortunately I never stopped to mark down the HID driver version.

Pnputil -e in cmd and track down the driver, delete it

Just plugged in my Razer 8K and an HID driver installed... took a picture

HIDClass - 6.2.9200.16528

EDIT: the odd thing is it doesn't show up on any device in device manager.. I'll have to look again, I could be wrong

EDIT2: OOOF, omg, that's was a Razer HID driver. But something did happen within the past 2 weeks with where two seperate HIDClass drivers were installed without changing any USB devices. Dammit MS update, lol.
