[im going to show you guys some settings that I know and I hope to help someone]

1-[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power]
"CoalesecingTimerinterval"=dword:00000000

the explanation
coalesecingTimerinterval is a computer system energy-saving technique that reduces central processing unit (CPU) power consumption by reducing the precision of software timers to allow the synchronization
of process wake-ups, minimizing the number of times the CPU is forced to perform the relatively power-costly operation of entering and exiting idle states.[1]

how to disable CoalesecingTimerinterval open regedit type HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power create a DWORD name it CoalesecingTimerinterval change the namber to 0

this will improve your fps and latency but not recommended for laptop

Very good post, ty!

More info on it here: https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/windo ... ng.377790/

EDIT: might want to check your spelling with the registry text.. i think you spelled CoalescingTimerInterval incorrectly.

It would've been smarter to request a screenshot of his registry editor, to check if it's wrong there or not. So we could've checked if it's placebo or not.

I know you said in 'Windows 10,' but let me start w/ the BIOS if we're talking about 'power savings.'

Bios Powersaving Settings:

Disable eist speedstep (INTEL), c-states, thermal monitor, cool n quiet or PSS (AMD)

Windows 10:

Change powerplan to High or Ultimate Performance and disable usb selective suspend and pcie link state power management. If you want to go even further for more latency reduction, you can disable cpu throttling & cpu idle entirely. These settings are hidden however so you'll need to 'unhide' them. Download power settings explorer (https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/windo ... ty.416058/), run as admin, scroll down to processor power management and untick 'Allow Throttle States & Processor idle disable' and close out of the app. Now go back into your advanced power settings and scroll down to 'Processor Power Management and turn off throttle states and select disable idle for processor idle disable. I posted some screens to help.

Device Manager-- Disable all power management for USB controllers, NICS & HID usb input devices. I posted a screen regarding this. You'll need to open up the properties dialog to untick 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' in the power management section. Go through every device and make sure any power management settings is turned off. Also in the NIC advanced settings you want to disable all power saving settings (green ethernet, energy efficient ethernet, lite, power saving, etc). Whether you have intel or realtek the power saving settings will be called different things so just scroll down the advanced menu and disable anything power saving related. I posted a screen for this as well.

Also, timer resolution. This is technically a power saving mechanism to default the timer to 15.6ms. The more often interrupts are fired, the harder your cpu works and the more energy it uses. Download ISLC or timer resolution and set timer resolution to .5ms for gaming. If you want to save energy while not gaming, just revert timer resolution back to default.

There are so many more power saving features built into windows, but these are the ones that come to mind. I'll post more power saving settings when I have more time.

I use Process Lasso - great program, also improves system responsiveness by lower priority of programs which are taking CPU and can do much more https://bitsum.com/, which can dynamically switch between power saving profile (for being windows) and (something like ultimate when in game). Note: it can add tiny bit of latency, but if you aren't super sensitive you won't notice probably, you can also close GUI and reduce update time and disable logging and what not...

Heh I recently updated my guide for power savings check it out!: https://www.tenforums.com/gaming/117377 ... ost1454596

Mainly you want to save power make sure your gpu isn't running on max freq. in windows! And allow it to switch to PCI-E gen 1.1 when not in load! Which is set in BIOS!

Thanks for all the replies I really appreciate it But I want to clarify something this post is not for the well-known thing in windows so its not
a guide to disable all power saving settings i made this post to Discuss unknown settings No one knows anything about it, or at least the minority knows anything about it so Sorry for not explaining at first :D

The above mentioned settings I hadn't really heard of, so the replies were still very helpful for me. Please post more :))

[this post is for unknown settings but Some people don't know the known settings so I will help them :D ]
first for nvidia GPUs users go to nvidia control panel then to Manage 3d settings and copy all my settings :!:
