Fast boot is disabled through bios (look under boot settings)Stimpy7314 wrote: ↑05 Aug 2022, 15:38The ones that are available in my system are hibernate and fast boot. Disable them?
Hibernate is disabled in Windows power options (I think) - search "choose what the power buttons do", and it should be on that page.

How do I disable Standby (s3)? I tried through GP editor and registry. It's still under available ones

That's the one I got rid of 2 days ago (which I feel made a significant difference)MontyTheAverage wrote: ↑06 Aug 2022, 01:53How do I disable Standby (s3)? I tried through GP editor and registry. It's still under available ones
I used this guide to disable it through GPEDIT.

I've been experiencing very bad performance in Apex legends, not fps wise but mouse movement wise. Let me explain, if i move my mouse to make a turn or if i want to aim at somebody it feels so damm choppy.
If i play in firing range mode the issue is gone, all movement seems to be smooth, aiming doesn't suck and everything plays faster then in a normal match. I've been trying to fix this for a year now and I'm giving up at this point. Their forum helpers aren't even helpful and the developers doesn't seem to care, they ignore this issue.
Specs/What I've tried so far:
CPU:Amd ryzen 5 3600
GPU:Gtx 1660 super
RAM:Kingston fury beast3200mhz16-17-17-18-36
MB:Asrock b450m steel legend bios p4:30
PSU:Corsair cv550
------
Things I've tried:
stock windows 20h2
stock windows 21h2
stock windows 7 sp1
125hz, 500hz, 1000hz polling
different usb ports (usb 2, usb 3, front panel)
all devices unplugged except mouse
different mouse, different keyboard, different mousepad
180fps cap, 160fps cap, uncapped fps, 141fps cap, 144fps cap
r5apex low priority, high priority
mouse interrupt cpu affinity
different nvidia drivers
cpu underclock
cpu overclock
cpu stock (stock bios)
hyperthreading on, off
different monitor
entirely different rig (gtx 1080 ti amd ryzen 7 2700x)
Tried legacy mode & mbr
Different power plans
Power saving features all on in bios and off
Updated bios to latest/ used a previous bios version
Used rtss & gsync combo & vsync on
Gpu undervolt
Gpu overclock
Rgb off & led mb
All fans in dc mode & full speed & silent mode
blocked windows updates & driver updates
hags off / on & msi mode on/off
tried pcie wifi card & pcie network card, both from intel
brought my pc to different locations
used different vpn's, warp+, nordvpn, shurfshark, exitlag
used mobile hotspot, 4g+ and 5g (tmobile)
unplugged useless cables in pc
removed all fans
xmp on/off, single channel, dual channel, also overclock it with lower timers
1600dpi/3200dpi
high quality hdmi/dp cable
sftp cat6a cable
used different firmwares on my router, also tweaked a bunch of settings.
I've watched some famous apex streamers and their game seems to be very smooth as far i can tell. Their game is much quicker. Its actually really unfair that I'm dealing with this and other people aren't
Try running apex in exclusive fullscreen. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4WbtrV ... LOBOTOMYtv how to do that. Let me know if it worked or not. (Keep in mind in Apex its not as in other games to enable this feature. Maybe you think u enabled it but chances are its not. U have to test it. )

But i've been using my wifi adapter again from intel. The ax200 serie from asus. Atm i'm using wifi 6 + 5ghz mode + using warp+ from cloudflare and i disabled my realtek ethernet driver from control panel and autoruns, I must say and hopefully it isn't temporarily this time or placebo, apex has been running smooth lately for 2 days straight.

Re: Can somebody explain this? [Apex Legends issue]
wait u play apex on wireless? ok thats a new one for me. The Edgerouter X is a great product for 50 bucks. Getting my Bufferbloat to A+ Rating def is one the better improvements i made last decade for my setup. ( I started with the Edgerouter X but upgraded now to a setup that also has the Cake protocol and no downloadspeed cap.)Stimpy7314 wrote: ↑06 Aug 2022, 08:09I got C.
