The Atompalm is almost gonna go live (8khz mice) which is something I have personally been looking forward to. Didn't want the Razer one as their software is poopy and the mouse feel didn't felt great.

On Auto Bios settings, the interface will stay on GEN1 unless the load on the GPU dictates otherwise, you can test that by clicking on the question mark and perform the gpu-z 3D rendering test, it should immediately switch to gen3 or 4 depending on your GPU and Motherboard. That said, running CSGO on potato settings with NVCP "Power Management Mode" not set to prefer max performance on the CSGO tab might still keep it at GEN1 or GEN2 since it really doesn't need more.assombrosso wrote: ↑16 Aug 2022, 12:20I think I have changed it cuz I was playing around with bios settings
However, even the most powerful graphics cards available today find it difficult to saturate the full PCIe 4.0 x16 bandwidth and have a similar performance with the previous PCIe 3.0 generation, which happens mostly by tapping into a 4k monitor while playing a heavy graphics demanding title or by applying complex rendering loads. GamersNexus has a full video on that: "https://youtu.be/0DKVVtirNM8".
Assuming Asus have the same naming schemes for both of its platforms "Intel & AMD", the PCIe PEG Speed in your bios settings will dictate what GEN it will max out at. If you left it at Gen1 and not "Auto" or higher then it'll max out at Gen1 or any other chosen speed.

Wait for the 5900X3D. Maybe it will be released.
