AOC monitor game mode reduces delay ?

Post by Fabiolinks » 05 Oct 2022, 19:37

Hi, I bought an AOC monitor 24g2 and there are 3 game mode options. I didn't like how they looked, the colours were oversaturated so I turned off.

Do turning it off adds delay?
I know in Tv game mode does reduce input lag but I'm not sure in my monitor.

Try it and see for yourself my brother but I heard gaming modes overall help with input lag by a tiny bit

Looking at the manual, no, the "Game Mode" presets under the "Game Settings" menu will not affect latency; they are simply picture presets.

The "Low Input Lag" setting under the same menu, however, will affect latency at the display-level according to the manual, with the description stating: "Turn off frame buffer to decrease input lag." I.E. set "Low Input Lag" to "On" for the lowest latency.
