Performance state type: None

Post by Stimpy7314 » 16 Jan 2023, 08:25

Not sure if this is the correct blog to post it on.

Does anyone have a idea why this:Performance state type: None isn't set to: ACPI Collaborative Processor Performance Control?

I'm aware that that feature need PSS Support & c-states to work. PSS is enabled and c-states is on auto (Setting it to enable wont work either). CPPC & CPPC pref cores are also enabled.

Here are my specs:
CPU: Amd ryzen 5 3600
GPU: Gtx 1660 super
RAM: Kingston fury beast 3200mhz 16-17-17-18-36
MB: Asrock b450m steel legend bios (i'm on agesa v1.2.0.7)
PSU: Corsair cv550

did you enable x2APIC support in the bios? I believe that also breaks cppc.

AMD CBS --> CPU Common Options --> Local APIC Mode

But it shouldn't be enabled by default so its most likely not causing your problem.

Forcing x2APIC mode is what breaks CPPC. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

I only tested auto and then forcing x2apic. I'm not sure what the auto setting is defaulting to.
