Is this input lag? (Video)
Re: Is this input lag? (Video)
Don't use game movement for testing keyboard latency. Use something like the ESC key for bringing up the game menu, or the arrow keys for navigating the menus.
Using game movement as a test is a bad idea because it combines both input lag as well as game animation latency.

Re: Is this input lag? (Video)
I think @RealNC was referring to any possible intentional built-in delay in the strafing animations. I.E simulated momentum, weight shifting, etc. Whether CS:GO in particular has that is another question.
Going by the posts on these forums lately what isn't considered lag?
Regardless, even with a powerful, perfectly-tuned system, flawless electrical performance, and a fully optimized game, there will still be delay between when the the keyboard is pressed, and when the input is reflected on-screen.
Bare minimum "lag" is dependent on scanout time of the display. For instance, it will take a 144Hz monitor at 144 FPS a minimum of 6.9ms to display a complete frame update, regardless of what input device is being used, etc.

Re: Is this input lag? (Video)
yea but it doesn't feel natural to me
there strafing animation in csgo but it does feel responsive then this
im considering a lag is when
the enemy is able to straf aim and shoot and hide back again
where im not able to do one action even not even trying make his aiming harder

Re: Is this input lag? (Video)
Yes, looks like input delay.
Things that can cause this:
power saving settings on keyboard, network card
power saving settings on usb ports, and in general
core parking
driver malfunction
dwm priority
wininit priority
fullscreen/windowed
Probably more that I'm forgetting.

Re: Is this input lag? (Video)
The movement looks slow, almost like walking, and it's slightly delayed as he slams down the key. It gets a lot worse when trying to strafe left and right quickly. Hopefully the OP can fix it and provide a follow-up video.

Re: Is this input lag? (Video)
What the slow movement has to do with input lag? isn't input lag the time it takes for the action to happen?
