Which Motherboard and Processor should i get

Post by kHAZY » 27 Jun 2023, 11:14

Hello guys, ive made me an AMD Build 7700x with a gigabyte b650 and i must say both are terrible for me.
I have a RTX 3070 and i want an Intel Processor with a very good motherboard with many options to try out and lowest input lag / more precise mouse feeling.
Also i need a Processor / Mainboard which can handle DDR5 Rams.
Do you guys have any recommendations for me please?

skip msi z690/z790 - bad uefi and bios issues a lot.
skip evga (undisable spread spectrum)
asus z790 ddr5 best mb for this moment on intel

dunno what exact model to recommend, but i would stay away from Gigabyte, their bios is a big no no.
also make sure you check reviews and look for the VRM temps, high temps are a sign of bad heatsink design.

Interesting you recommend that for oc?
Cause everywhere I read mobo isn’t that important they equal in performance it’s just the furnishing.

a top mobo, will have a better power design, better VRM, better components in general. better cooling for the vrm and alot of other features regarding the motherboard design itself.

But no performance difference. Ofc it’s a question if you need more usb ports better oc potential better storage options a better onboard sound etc. You don’t need to spend a lot more money for mobos to have good vrm. Pls correct me when iam wrong

On paper it might look like there`s no performance difference, but then when you start gaming shit doesn`t feel right.
People don`t seem to understand that the most important thing on the mobo is the power design, power phases and VRM.
Power is very important, people spend big bucks on CPU and GPU, but they cheap out on the motherboard or the power supply.
