Can gamma affect display lag of a TV or monitor?

Hi there! I wanted to ask if lowering the gamma can result in an increase of display lag even if it's a little bit? The thing is that every time I do this to see dark areas better, the aiming in games or even just moving the cursor feels different and I don't know if I am going crazy, is there a possibility that pixel response becomes sightly slower because the colors are brighter when I lower the gamma?

Usually no lag changes, but some models do have latency changes during this sort of picture settings changes. I don't know which models do and which models don't, as it's pretty obscure black box stuff sadly. However, gamma curve adjustments properly done on a proper gaming monitor, should add no lag.
