press windows + x (or right click on the windows icon on the taskbar)

select Device Manager

click on Universal serial bus controllers

right click on Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible host controller - 1.0 (Microsoft)

click uninstall device

your mouse and keyboard should be disabled. now press the power button on your pc to do a shutdown or hold it for 7 seconds to do a force shutdown.

unplug your mouse and keyboard, give it a good minute or so and then turn the pc back on.

when the pc is turning on, you might get a message from your bios saying that a keyboard is not detected but thats ok, plug your mouse and keyboard to your pc and you should be good to go.

By the way, in my opinion, the situation with registering damage has also been corrected, at least I have never died behind a wall.

We’re in desperate need of a new dedicated system for input devices, it’s clear the usb system is majorly flawed for mouse input and shouldn't be affected by things like this

Yes, that's true. There's only a 5ms delay, which you would never detect in any blind test—believe me! ;)

You can't remove any driver; you can only replace one driver with another. This is how the operating system works.
