BenQ Picture Modes qustion.

Post by urut » 12 Nov 2015, 14:55

Hello, fast question. Is on benq xl monitors other picture modes introducing more or less input lag? np Photo mode vs srgb, fps1, standard etc etc? Or it doesn't matter? :)

Mhm, - no idea about that specific series of models but generally LCD panels do some post-processing to make things look nice. Usually, "gaming" modes (I guess that's "fps" for benq) disable those additional processive steps for a few miliseconds less latency. This naturally comes with a loss in (mostly colour) quality.

Just use that. If it looks too ugly for your liking (bland colors) you can up your digital vibrance/saturation and if it still does you can mail benq and ask how much their gaming mode realistically even changes in terms of latency and decide whether that's worth it.

Dunno, just check their site. They MUST have customer support somewhere. Or just tweet at them/write on their facebook.
