xl2540 vs other 144hz

Hello to all
I wanted to know if the new benq xl 2540 240 hz has less input lag than other 144 hz or 2411z 144hz best? ?
i play cs go all the time and i want less input lag possible

More HZ = Less latency.

It's only by a tiny amount but yea.

Correct.
As a rule of thumb:

- More framerate, same Hz = less lag
- Same framerate, more Hz = less lag
- Doing both = even less lag

Which is to say for higher Hz, same frame rate situations:

- 100fps at 240Hz = less latency than 100fps at 144Hz
- 300fps at 240Hz = less latnecy than 300fps at 144Hz

And higher frame rate, same Hz situations:

- 300fps at 144Hz = less latency than 100fps at 144Hz
- 300fps at 240Hz = less latency than 100fps at 240Hz

This generally applies to all real-time scanout TN LCD monitors, which most eSports displays are -- including the BenQ/Zowie XL series.

This is something we noticded on the side, in VSYNC OFF modes (non-GSYNC) during our GSYNC 101 lag tests on a 240Hz monitor (later sections, "Beyond the Scanout").

yes but I had read around that the 2450 had more input than 144 hz lags

Where did you hear that? Zowie/BenQ monitors have generally been extremely low lag, supporting real-time scanout.

If you're talking about XZ2546 strobing, remember that DyAc can also be turned off via service menu or Blur Busters Strobe Utility.

some additional info for this topic -

I have a 2720z and a XL2540 and to keep it simple. All testing for me is Overwatch 300 fps, no blur reduction just purely trying to get the best input 'feel'

2720z DVI-D - feels great but the refresh difference is noticeable after some months of owning the XL2540
2720z Displayport - feels worse

XL2540 DVI-D 'Overclocked' to 240hz felt great BUT it no longer displays this resolution in Overwatch without using CRU ( Previously using Nvidia control panel to OC.) I'm fairly new to CRU so I'm still not sure if you can make CRU change Desktop Refresh rate aswell as game Refresh.
XL2540 Displayport - Would rather be using DVI-D but the gain in image smoothness is really noticeable over 144hz.

I myself am quite curious is there is a true latency difference between DVI-D and displayport, everything that I've read has told me it would be placebo effect. Maybe there is something in frame time lows? Basically it's beyond me but I do feel there is a difference.
