Power options and Nvidia GPU scaling settings?

Should I have the area labeled "Override the scaling mode set by games and programs" checked or unchecked? (I already set to 144hz 1920x1080 no scaling and perform on display, just don't know if that box should be checked or not)
Also is there any options to select in windows 7 power options to reduce input lag? I seem to remember there were some but can't remember what they were...
I've done most of what I need to do to get my win 7 input lag free after reinstalling, just looking to do those last few steps...
Also does paging file matter? I turned it off because I have an SSD, is that for the best?
