Hello Everyone,
Recently I have discovered stutter/input-lag potential fix guides about Nvidia Inspector's Frame Limiter v2 setting: Delay_Flip_By_Flipmetering. I have seen arguments on reddit claiming it increases input lag and add smoothness like V-SYNC and others who claimed it didn't add any input lag and felt more motion responsiveness. I have tested this settings by myself, and I am not quite sure if it indeed adds input lag. As all I know, it is a frame buffer that possibly delay frame rendering to monitor's refresh rate. Anyhow, I have tried different setting with Delay Flipmetering. I made frame limiter v1 on force vsync off + frame limiter v2 delay flipmetering. The games I played felt more responsive and faster. I am not quite sure what it did and why games feel more alive. Could someone elaborate to me what does this combination do and if it adds more input lag? Does it affect peaking time and should it be used in competitive FPS games?
Thanks.
