Micro stutters CS:GO

Post by laurits » 14 Jun 2019, 04:55

Hello blurbusters
I hope that u can help me, i have this microstutter most of the time when i peek around a corner or spray with the ak. Basically when action is happening my games kinda freezes for a small amount of time. furthermore i feel like people often teleport around corners and my mouse is sluggish. theese are my specs:

MSI Z270 GAMING PRO, ATX, Socket 1151
INTEL Core I7-7700K 4,2GHz LGA1151 8M Cache Boxed CPU
CORSAIR CS Series Modular CS650M - 650 Watt 80 PLUS Gold Certified PSU
MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G
CORSAIR Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H60 High-performance CPU Cooler LGA1155/1156 /1366 /2011 AM2/AM2+ AM3/AM3+ FM1 compatible
CORSAIR DDR4 2666MHz 32GB Kit 2x16GB Vengeance LPX Black Skylake 1.2V XMP2.0
CORSAIR Graphite Series 500R Mid-Tower ATX PC Case USB 3.0 / 1x IEEE / 2x 120mm fans 1394 4x5.25inch and 6x 3,5 inch Black

Also i have a 240 hz monitor and im playing the game on a custom resoultion called 1600x1200 4:3
Could this custom resolution cause input lagg/microstutter? and also, i get microstutter on lower resolutions like 1280x960, just not as bad as when i play 1600x1200. Altough the mouse feels alot more instant when flicking playing 1280x960. Could fps be a problem considering i run at 240hz and ive seen my fps drop under 240 quite often? can this cause stutter? my monitor is xl2546 benq
Ive tried more or less everything like driver updates reinstall of windows, tons of different launch options, settings, etc....

Ive had mates asking me why i stopped spraying because it looks like i stop shooting for a brief moment on their monitor, whilst im holding mouse 1 on mine. It occurs often when i peek one or more enemies or spray. So obviously not server lagg cause it does not happen for them. my internet speed is 120/20 atm.
My nvidia settings is all default. Tried them all (every tweak) more or less and i find default to be the best. scaling is done by display (got both options and tried both) Tried overclocking my ram speed did not help, gave more fps but still lag spikes / stutter. I have tried capping my fps at 300, cant feel any difference between that and fps_max 999. Could VRAM be a problem considering it has to load more with the higher resolution? Any suggestions/idea's are more then welcome.

Any ideas PLEASE HELP :)! Tried different mouse/keyboards/headsets no difference. I dont know what causes this but i feel like im out of ideas to what it could be.. So i hope someone could have the answer for me.

With a high frame rate, RAM has a significant effect on micro-statters.
Try to overcklock ram

Hello.
I used to have the exact same problem as you describe right there. Your monitor is not supposed to run at a resolution higher than 1080, therefore i suggest you play on a lower resolution.
1337 x 1002 is the one i'm using. Due to the number of pixels squared, multiplied by 3, you will have NO lags using this resolution. Make sure DyAc is Enabled as it actually reduces your lag experience.
Tests shows that your rates also causes input lags. Make sure it's 567765. Calculations shows this is the rate you want to avoid lags.

Hope this helps tell me what you think

Already tried overclocking RAM speed, didnt help with the stuttering.. gave 30 fps more tho just from 2133 - 2666

It is not always teleport peeks, teleport peeks are probaly just caused by the same stutter that happens when i peek an angle or an enemy. When i peek around a corner i often get stutter, so i basically freeze for half a second and then i can start shooting.

I have exactly the same as the one in ur twitch clip. The VAR just spikes suddenly and gives this freeze feeling. my fps doesent drop very much and seems pretty stable. its usually from 220-600 at absoulute lowest and highest while playing a game.
