Do G-Sync compatible monitors on Nvidia GPUs still have more input lag in 2020?

When G-Sync compatible is turned off in FreeSync monitors, it seemed like they had much more input lag (16ms at 138 fps / 138 hz vs 144 hz)

Is this still the case in 2020? It's been a year since the test, but I haven't seen this issue getting any attention nor it was mentioned in any changelog of a driver.

Battle nonsense only tested one monitor. With displayport VRR turned off on the monitor menu the GPU *should* just treat it like any other dp monitor. Obviously either AMD cards were treating the monitor special with VRR off or Nvidia was.

In general though, this means any given monitor could have different input lag for VRR on/off for each GPU vendor. Which is why reviews with input lag test results in VRR mode are very important.

TLDR every monitor could have different input lag between VRR modes and it could vary between GPUs. Only way to know is by testing.

At least my monitor doesn't have a VRR setting on the monitor control panel.

Hence, we're back to "Do G-Sync compatible monitors on Nvidia GPUs still have more input lag in 2020?" - as not every single G-Sync compatible monitor out there can be tested by 3rd parties (and I don't think it will ever happen that Nvidia publishes such results). The intention of this thread was to collect experiences, maybe tests, by individuals with G-Sync compatible monitors and maybe slow mo cameras or other.
